traveling in seattle i ended up at 13 coins for breakfast. typically i steer clear of 24-hour restaurants. but i was pleasantly surprised. the warm decor was inviting and the food was equally satisfying. the fabulous menu was so interesting that i had to order several entrees to sample them all. iorderedthe frittata, crepes with seasonal berries, french toast, and belgian waffle. the food was served hot, was excellent quality and the presentation was thoughtful. and the service was great. surprisingly, the coffee was a little weak, but that is a preference issue. however, being in seattle, i assumed otherwise. great experience.

we were staying in tukwila and decided to try it out after a heavy day of drinking at a mariners/jays game. we arrived at 12:45 pm and were told that it would be a 30 minute wait but we were seated sooner in the lounge are when it opened up.

weorderedthe crab eggs benedict and the duck bacon burger and they were delicious! the crab eggs benedict stole the show for me though.

the hollandaise was to die for with a nice lemony tang. they were generous with the crab meat and the hash browns were shredded thinly and were crispy. eggs were cooked to perfection, poached softly with the whites completely cooked. probably ranks in the top two benedicts i’ve had in my life!

we will definitely be back for the amazing food and friendly service!

food was less than marginal, orderedcoconut prawns and they were definitely not prawns, the shrimp were about the size of a half dollar butterflied! the sauce had a left over dish soap taste, service was pleasant, but knew that food was not going to be up to par!

their huge menu has a lot to offer: i suspect that may be their problem too, too big a menu.

iorderedthe "sausage joe": i got sausage (tasty), spinach and other undefined veggies sisters nicely, put in a mound on a plate, and just buried is grated parmesan cheese. so much of it in fact that i lost interest in the dish half way through it.

oh well: should have just stuck to my original plan of ordering some apps for dinner instead.

wait staff are slow and unresponsive this evening.

my husband and i are passing through seattle on our way to anchorage. we were recommended this place by our hotel concierge. it was ok -- nothing to write home about. weorderedcrab eggs benedict and salmon eggs benedict and both dishes were very bland. salmon was grossly overcooked and our hashbrowns were lukewarm, at best. considering we spent almost $50 on breakfast, i would have liked to see this place step it up a couple notches; however, our server was quite friendly, and our food came to us quickly.

it was o.k.. i voted "liked it", but it's not an enthusiastic "like". being from the midwest, i was not used to west coast prices. a group of 5 or 6 of us went in and no one made it out for less than $30 and no one reallyordereda lot of food. a small bowl of french onion soup went for $8. iorderedthe homemade stack of fries and it was really good. the joe's egg scramble iorderedwas o.k., but nothing to write home about. i probably would choose something else. the chicken parmesan my cohortsorderedlooked very good. the waiter was soft-spoken and polite, but not the most attentive. we had heard about the entertaining chef's. the only seating available at the time was in the lounge, so we missed out. i gotta believe there's better options out there, but it's convenient to the hotels near seatac.

a real dissapointment. not a recommendation for a big group. i went with 11 others on 11/13/10 and had one of the worse meals i've ever eaten. actually, the entire experience was unimpressive and disappointing. half of usorderedthe prime rib; the night's "special" and the entire plate (including veggies and potatoes) were stone cold. the person who had the best meal was the one whose order they originally forgot and made it to order. btw-the hostess had zero personality and could use a class in service or be moved to the kitchen. we reserved a private room about a week before and it didn't seem like they were ready for us. we were made to stand in the entry until the entire party arrived.
