we go all the time, the best italian food around. they need a bigger dining and waiting area, but everyone is very friendly.

great food. and plenty of it (huge portions). homemade pasta and gnocchi. homemade sauce. delicious. jamie was an excellent server.

big portions,. very very inexpensive for the portions you get! i can get 3 left over dinners from the pasta dinners which definitely makes the trip to zapitelli's worth it. the bread they serve with dinner is usually something like sandwhich buns, not good italian bread, and they have less than stellar, if any, appetizers. we only get carry out from this zapitelli's location though because we've had to walk out of the front lobby after standing at the front counter for 10+ minutes without being seated (never acknowleged, welcomed, or asked if we've been helped.) we prefer the painesville location much better, they have most of this same menu and more, and the service is great.

zappitelli's painesville. i've never visited the mentor or lakewood restaurants, but if they are anything like the one in painesville, then they are all terrific. always pleasant...good service...and outstanding food.

best italian food around. doubt you will find better alfredo anywhere! ...i have tried almost every italian restaraunt around nothing even comes close!

usually great, but very disappointed on valentine's day.. normally, zappitelli's has amazing food and service. my fiancee and i got take out for valentine's day and when began eating at home, our order was not correct and the bread they gave us was cold and wet! we were so extremely disappointed. why would bread be cold and wet (the bread was all soggy, like someone saturated the bottom with water) when there was nothing cold in our bag and the bread was wrapped in plastic wrap? we should have prepared ourselves, because when we called the person who took order seemed like he wasn't really paying attention, and his phone etiquette was not very good. then, when we picked up the food the restaurant was crowded (since it was valentine's day) and severely under staffed. it will be a while before we attempt carry out again. hopefully this will be the last bad experience we have. it was such a shock because normally the service and food is superb.

absolutely obscene portions of pasta. interesting daily specials that routinely sell out. we eat or take-out at least twice a month! you won't be dissapointed!

absolute best italian in east burbs. what else can you say? family run business that treats you like family....really. this place is crazy busy, but try it once and you will see why. portions are obscene.....two people can easily share one dinner and have leftovers. pizza is great (they will even make a sheet pizza within an hour with no notice.....just not guaranteed). service is friendly and efficient. you will likely have to wait a bit during primetime, but dont cheat yourself by going to olive garden or another chain. this is like going to gramma's house. highly highly recommend this place.

great!. the food is really good. fast, kind and friendly service. the food portions are big and the prices are just right for what you get. i haven't had a bad meal yet!

cyndy and bruce. we affectionately call this place "zappo's'"....love it, love it, love it. the gnocchi is fabulous, portions big enough for tomorrow's lunch. if i didn't live so far away (virginia), i'd be there twice a week!

alfredo!...doesn't get better than this.... this is my favorite italian restaurant in the usa ! i have eaten in new york,st.louis,kansas city,chicago,tampa,miami,cleveland,erie,pittsburgh,daytona,jacksonville,indianapolis,milwaukee,columbus,philadelphia,atlantic city,cincinnati,greenville n.c.,denver,dallas-fort worth,memphis,buffalo,to mention a few and none can beat zappitellis in mentor oh.the alfredo is the best,including my own ,the portions are super sized,and anthony is a first class chef/owner. no matter how far you have to go to get here it will be worth the trip.......
