fantastic!!. zaina is absolutely fantastic. everything we ordered was better than expected. i called with a to go order 5 minute before closing and they stayed open for me to get there. i am from out of town and not real familiar with this area. this place rocks!!! i will eat there again when i am back in town.

yahoo!!!!!!!!!!!!!. my wife is 1/2 lebanese and has been looking for a terrific lebanese restaurant since we moved to the kc metro from detroit five years ago. although zaina is not lebanese, per se, there are many typically lebanese dishes on the menu.

the food is incredible. best hummus in town - for sure! falafel, grape leaves, etc were awesome in every way. having been to every middle eastern restaurant in the kc metro, this is by far the best. it is cleaner then the rest, and, the food is prepared wonderfully. we will be back, over and over and over. go!

i found it very uninspiring. finally, i was headed downtown during my lunch hour and i had an opportunity to try zaina! being a lover of middle eastern fare, zaina had been on my must try list for way too long. sadly, one bite and i was disappointed.
i ordered the chicken sharwarma, one of my favorites. i found the mayonnaisy type sauce on the chicken yucky and unnecessary (also not mentioned on the menu). the chicken though well seasoned was somewhat dry. and, the rice appeared to be a version that comes out of a package and not house made. the rest of the meal was also, just ok. if i worked downtown, i would be pleased to eat here however, just know that in my opinion there are certainly better middle eastern type restaurants in the metro area. i would also try it again if i was downtown-maybe the falafel or a gyro?

fresh!. this is the perfect lunch place, my meal was so light and fresh. absolutely amazing!!

delicious!!!. since i started working two blocks away in feb., i eat here for lunch at least once a week. everything i have tried i have loved. from the beef shawarma sandwich, to the hummus, to their chicken curry. always delicious! definitely recommend it!

excellent. stopped by for some carryout for dinner. service was extremely friendly and welcoming. food was ready quickly and fairly cheap. it was by far the best greek/mediterranean i have had in the kc area. really happy to have a place that is open late in the downtown area serving up great food. going to have to make it a weekly stop.

delicious!. this is a fast, easy, unpretentious alternative to the chains in p & l. the food is wonderfully flavored -- try the shawarma as it is the house specialty, but the chicken roasted pepper platter is equally good. even the rice is perfect. the portions are generous. if you're in the central business district for dinner, and you're not hung up on aesthetics, this place will not disappoint.

delicious. downtown needed a lunch spot like this one, though i would eat there for a casual dinner as well. the meat is tender and moist. the pita is always fresh. the salad is crisp and the dressing tart. i've eaten here several times and the employee's are kind and generous - giving me extra pita when i requested it! the food tastes fresh, but doesn't take long to make it to my table. check it out, kc!

amazing. for those of you who say that this restaurant isn't authentic your dead wrong. im a friend of joe's and have been for 20 years and he immigrated from lebanon. the food is amazing and well underpriced. if you came from the middle east and miss the food just go to zaina and you will be satisfied.

i came by at 10a, they opened early for me. food is fantastic. joe and his staff are amazing. great food, great kc people. you must go here! this is my first review as i have never really had the urge to do so... until this place.

yum!. i recently tried zaina and had the shawarma beef with a side of hummus and pita. it was absolutely delicious!! i was really impresed with the laid-back atmosphere, the kind staff who chatted with me and the food to impress my palet! both the sandwhich and the hummus were really great...i will definitely be returning and i suggest you do too!

the best shwarma and falafel i have ever had and i've been to turkey, oman, and saudi arabia. good prices and awesome flavors.
