nothing but good things to say about the breakfast i enjoyed at wrapture in the westenda few weeks ago.

i enjoyed an iced chai latte and a bacon caesar breakfast wrap. both were above average and rated a 4.

looking forward to trying more of their wraps - the lunch wraps look fantastic.

positioned in good old westendis wrapture - a cafe that delivers relaxing bohemian vibes, you'll find yourself enjoying the quiet morning with some nice breeze 😌

wrapture has been on my 'go-to list' for some time now and am glad to finally have my first experience there today. based on their trade name, you'd probably guess what they serve up - they introduce a good variety of breakfast/lunch wraps here (or if you prefer your food to not be rolled together, they have a deconstructed version for you) 👌🏻

i settled with the olympus wrap and a mocha coffee. the coffee was served fairly hot, i should have asked for an additional shot ☝🏻 the wrap came to the table and was served in a white paper-like bag (those kebab feels 👌🏻).  filled with flavor, i thoroughly enjoyed every bite - tender lemon chicken, fresh lettuce, tomato, spanish onions and finished off with yogurt sauce. yum!

looking forward to trying other items on menu 🙌🏻

thank you wrapture!

great food, bad vibes. i am a westendlocal, but this was only the second time that i had dined at wrapture. my first experience was a positive one. although they were busy, my food came out quickly and was delicious.
however, my recently experience has put me off the place. i went in today with some friends i witnessed a male staff member, who i assume is the owner or manager of the place, verbally abusing his staff members.
never in my life have i experienced a manager act in such an unprofessional manor. it was like a scene from kitchen nightmares. i feel bad for his staff and i feel guilty for giving him my money.

i had a meeting in westendand one of my colleagues said, "i know a great place for lunch". i thought to myself, what confidence he has thinking that i'll like anything he recommends. does he even know me?.. but all i muttered was "k". i ordered an olympus wrap and i was pleasantly surprised. it was tasty and the place had a good atmosphere. there was no way i was going to let my colleague know i enjoyed it though. i took away half a star for the big tree which welcomes birds to poo on people whilst eating but i scoped out the tables and they were all clean, albeit poo was all over the floors. this probably means the birds have been trained not to poo on people.

a perfectly named airy little retreat in a westendnook. the ambience is that of a quiet little rustic cafe, in fact, almost a fancier version of a little tea shop somewhere in asia, with a hint of the bohemian.
the wraps are just absolutely great comfort food, delicious and bursting with fresh flavours. i love this place just for the wraps alone. highly recommend the 'belly dancer' and the 'diablo' wraps.
the 'chai' as with most chais in this part of the world had too much cinnamon and not enough other balancing spices like ginger especially, and perhaps some cardamom, which means it ends up tasting a little 'soapy'. didn't really enjoy the flavour of it, (i've noticed some of the other reviewers like the flavour).
however, that little detail will certainly not stop me from frequenting this delightful place more often in the near future. this is definitely going to be one of my favourites for a long time.

i've living at westendfor 8 yrs and absolutely regret that i had never tried this place. food was so yum and fresh. a few things i don't like - they don't open on sundays and usually a nightmare to find a parking. but no doubt about the quality of the food

anonymous. been a keen supportive of wrapture since the westendmarkets days. always told people how great the food was. this was until today when i went to order a coffee and some breakfast. i knew it was busy but hey i wasn't in a rush. but opening line to me after i said happy to wait til the owner was ready to serve me. i could see she was really busy. her reply and i quote "i will never be ready to serve you because i just too busy" and from that moment i tried to order a coffee and some breakfast but it was just too much for her. i wasn't asking you to make the world for me. i was just trying to get you some money for some coffee and food. honestly if you dislike the fact you are busy and that people come to your business all the time i think it's time not to be in the service business anymore. don't worry i will never be back and i will let my friends and family know and anyone that listens that wrapture doesn't like taking food or coffee orders.

rude barista. i went there for the first time just to buy a chai latte with soy milk to takeaway, but i didn't know what kind of chai they prepared, so i asked the barista if it was homemade or the commercial chai powder that people buy at the supermarkets, i didn't mean to insult her but she took it that way and treated me like i was this kind of moster for asking her. the minute my beverage was ready she served it to me very abruptly, it was almost a throw. i paid 5 dolars for a small soy chai that tasted worse than at starbucks, it was just hot water with a dash of soy milk and not even in a medium size. totally dissapointed, the wayshe treated me was rude and offensive, i never expected this kind of treatment especially in westendwhere everybody is so kind and gentle. i'm never going there again.

our favorite westendcafe..... no bones about it, this is the best cafe in west end.
it's everything.... the atmosphere... the service.... the ethos... the food.... the smiles.
if you love chai (as i do) then this is mecca for chai lovers. their homemade recipe is the best yet, and i've tasted some goodies.
no insipid watery thin mixtures with no more flavor than a west dishrag... this is full bodied, nippy chai as she is meant.
and don't let me forget their kitchen.... what they produce out of their tiny space is awesome food. the wraps, the beautiful mushrooms on spinach, lovely bread, with grated parmesan and a deee..vine sauce over the lot (my favorite dish), the nasi goreng, the bali plate (gorgeous chicken satay with the best salads)....
i could go on and on and on....
so don't take my word... go there. you will not be disappointed (well, you might, if you can't get a table).

wrapture - west end, brisbane. westendis well known for having a diverse range of eateries, most of them within a close range of each other. others are also within proximity, but more off to a side street branching from boundary. wrapture is such as example, it is not *just* off onto russell street but actually a fair distance in but the detour is actually worth undertaking at some point.

only westendwould have such a place as this, with a house next door to a massage parlour. there is obvious african influences along with amalgams of the eastern religions (hinduism, buddhism, taoism etc) with music choices being mediation kind of music to stevie nicks - the kind the hippies never really got out of when the 60s left. many typical westendkind of folk are here along with more conservative kinds.

outside is a small ornamented garden which is very relaxing in such a busy part of the city. this used to be part of the westendmarkets apparently - but i have never really had the experience of finding them there so i have no real comment on that.

basically a sandwich place in diguise, a lot of kudos has to go to these guys in making such a diverse and extensive range of wrap options, just from the set menu alone. there is enough to tide vegetarians over with many more meatier options and stranger innovations. this is a welcome diversion from many humdrum sandwich places that do the regular which can be brought from home anyway.
they also do tweaks on familar coffees and hot chocolates as well adding spices and masalas to them.

to go from here, i got a faloumi wrap (falafel and haloumi) with a gypsy jeff (piccolo with cardomom) and a honey biscuit.

the wrap was actually fresh with a hefty amount of salad in it, not to mention a variety of vegetables. both the haloumi and falafel tasted great and fresh with compliments to each other - two meditteranean delights mingling. they also used a good quality pita to wrap it all up and no mess was made (even with the open end).

i am qutie the one to prefer my coffee without sugar or syrup, but the cardomom went well in the coffee. generously, the people here made the piccolo larger than usual as it is generally served in a shot-glass. it was a good coffee with an altered flavour that did not feel betraying to a coffee afficionado like me.

at theendthe honey biscuit was also good, and surprisingly not that sweet. it had a texture a bit like a sand cookie. not bad at all.

in honesty, the faloumi sounded like one that had a high likelihood of being good regardless. other choices here are more daring and/or strange so perhaps trying those first might be wise before fully realising this place. i think that just might happen.

special!. love, love, love this place! first discovered them at the westendmarkets and followed them to russell st. often think about trying somewhere else for breakfast, but can't go past the brisvegas. casual, relaxed, friendly. no pretentious wankiness, just great food! miss the coffee being blackstar, but the food more than makes up for it!

outstanding. i would've never picked this place to eat at, its out of the way and the name would've thrown me off. can't judge a book by its cover though, i was scouring urbanspoon for a new brekkie place in westendand this place jumped out me. with a surprisingly high public rating and fantastic reviews as well a cheap and endearing menu, this place was a shoe in.

my boyfriend and i got a bit lost trying to find this place cause we're hopeless, but the cafe is quite cute and has a kooky bohemian feel to it. the service was very relaxed, pick a seat, have a look at the menu and order when ready at the counter. my kinda place.

we ended up getting an iced coffee, a shakti hot chocolate, an organic venezulan hot chocolate infused with chilli and chai, a bacon caesar wrap and a haloumi wrap. the hot chocolate was fantastic, hot enough that i had to be careful drinking about it and with a warm lingering heat from the chilli infusion, it was velvety smooth and i would've licked the cup if we were alone. the two wraps were amazing, with a freshly cooked, crispy, crunchy and pillowy soft pita wrapping, i could have eaten a mountain of those wraps, they were so delicious. the organic bacon was chewy, charred perfectly and god, it made that wrap. the yoghurt dressing in the haloumi wrap was gorgeous, thick and tangy. i'm getting hungry just thinking about it. even their salad was good! it was cut in interesting shapes and gave a great contrast in texture!

this place is so good, i'm going back for breakfast tomorrow.
