brunch was great. this is the second time that my daughter and i have been here for brunch, and it did not disappoint! their bloody mary's are great. both of our brunch choices were delicious, nicely seasoned. we split a chess pie with smoked ice cream for dessert, worth having. we just got back from a week of memorable meals in london, and this ranks up there as one of the best we had this week!

i was excited to finally try wolf peach, only to be disappointed. i have an autoimmune disease that makes me very sensitive to spicy foods so obviously i order food that does not have spice. i thought the spinach artichoke pizza with cream cheese and roasted garlic as the only other ingredients listed on the menu would be easy and safe enough. it came out with red pepper flakes all over the pizza!! even my friend who loves spicy foods said it was very spicy. i hate asking waiters to remake food because i don’t want to be “that person” and hate confrontation, but with my friend’s support i asked the waiter anyway if there was any way to remake the pizza without the red pepper flakes especially since there was no mention of it on the menu. he was extremely insensitive about it and really made no effort to even check back in the kitchen to see if it could be done and kept saying that “it looks like the artichoke has already been marinated with the flakes sorry.” for goodness sake then, i would have been more than happy to go back in the kitchen and marinate some myself. for a restaurant that “claims” to be conscientious about being “vegetarian” and “gluten free”, it sure seemed to me that they didn’t care about my dietary needs when i politely requested it. perhaps next time i should be more rude about it to get results. beware what you order here because apparently they add ingredients that are not listed on the menu.

wolf peach was next on the culinary tour of milwaukee. the name "wolf peach" stems from european folklore:. "when the tomato was first introduced, it was widely considered poisonous. aristocrats dined on pewter; the acid in tomatoes reacted with the metal, causing lead poisoning. peasants ate from plates made of wood and were unaffected, so tomatoes became the poor man’s food. the legend grew, as legends do, to include stories of witches using tomatoes, a member of the deadly nightshade family, to conjure werewolves. the wild tomato’s latin genus name, lycopersicon, translates to “wolf peach.” wolf peach pays homage to rustic european cuisine that draws inspiration regional ingredients - including the illustrious tomato."

its funny reading people complain about the food coming out as it's done.  when you sit down the waiter explains that is how it works at the restaurant.

the food is good, also a good selections of drinks. i will be going back.  also, nice outdoor seating.

i'm a big fan of wolf peach. all the dishes i have had were prepared very well and really brought out the flavors of the great ingredients they are using. serving sizes are just rite. the food is meant to be shared and comes out when it's done being prepared by the kitchen. they warn you when you sit down so hopefully you are with people you like or this may not be a great experience.

love the biscuits and gravy for brunch. gravy is a bit on the salty side for my tastes so i usually order it on the side that way i can control the biscuit to gravy ratio. compliment it with a bloody mary and a beer chaser.

i like sharing dishes so this is a nice place for me to enjoy great food and drinks with friends. i hope more places of this quality open in milwaukee.

welcome to a special three squares event where i get to rave about one of my favorite restaurants: wolf peach!  before we get ahead of ourselves let's run through the other meals that made up a very long day. i left my house at 6:30 this morning and just got home around 8:45. phew! breakfast came in the form of a biscuit, colby jack and an egg with some red pepper. coffee on the side, yum. at lunch i was feeling very stressed out, so it was a good idea to eat outside and enjoy the breeze. this curried pumpkin coconut soup helped relieve the tension, especially with the rosemary crackers on the side. now on to the main event, wolf peach! i had never been here before, but i will be back asap. a couple of my friends and i were going to a cooking class tonight, but we wanted to relax and have some food before the main event.  we caught happy hour and it was amazing. i got to try all three drinks (grapefruit rosemary mix, a whisky apple mix, and mine was a lavender infused vodka!), they wer

tasty brunch. we enjoyed our brunch together as a family one last time before our daughter left for college. the four of us got to try each others dishes. the breakfast pizza could have used a little more seasoning but not the bloody mary's! be cautious, even the "regular" was pretty spicy for me. will revisit in future.

appalling service. don't go for a special occasion or with a large party. i recently made a reservation for 7 people at 6pm on a saturday night to celebrate a birthday. the server informed us within the first 10 minutes that our table was reserved later in the evening... as soon as we finished our last plate she brought out the check and refused to bring a dessert menu. we had ordered a lot and were not loitering; it was only 8pm!!! they had booked another table only 2hrs after our reservation. to boot a 20% tip was already included in the bill, so our server could obviously care less about how we felt about the situation. although the food is good here, it isn't much better than a lot of the other restaurants in the same price range. go somewhere else where you are treated better and can actually enjoy the food/atmosphere.

the final small plate was wood-roasted broccoli, apricot with calabrian chile and almonds. this dish took the flavor scale over the top. we soured to new heights of broccoli love. who knew broccoli could taste so good?
