i had high hopes for this after reading the menu. but i found the taste of the sauce in the tofu tonkatsu burger to be an odd funky flavour i cannot describe. i ended up only eating the tofu. also got the morrocan spicedkumaraburger and again didn’t finish it- i think i was expecting more of akumararosti texture. but it was more like crunchy grated carrot and quite spicy. i usually think of morrocan as sort of sweet/cinnamon/sour/savoury. my partner got the ‘chicken’ burger and said it was average. bummed because i wanted to say good things about this place.

this is what comes to mind when i think of wise boys burgers. they make vegan burgers and they are so damn delicious. i have tried most of their burgers, thanks to the vegan food fair, late night art and go green expo events.

my all-time favourite wise boys combination is theirkumaraand moroccan spiced patty burger with lettuce, tomato, cucumber, red onion, relish and… their yummy homemade egg-free aioli on a toasted bun.

coming in at a close second is their smoke and fire burger made with deep fried crispy tofu, fix & fogg ‘smoke and fire’ peanut butter satay sauce, lettuce, tomato, cucumber, red onion and relish on a toasted bun.

i love wise boys and their burgers and i think you should try one stat! #makeburgersnotwar
