had heard a lot about the place, and boy the place was totally worth all the hype.
we reached the place at around 8:30 pm on a saturday night and had asked for a reservation, which turned out to be a wise decision. the place starts getting quite crowded 9 pm onwards so it is recommended to turn up early in order to get a place here.
the ambience, seating and the serving is definitely above par than any fine dining restaurant that i have been to. the seating for most couples was on a long table – with both the partners sitting on either side of the table, this one reminded me of the western style of fine dining. although it sounds cramped, it was quite spacious for both people.
we were greeted with a cocktail on the house – it was called boarding pass and was quite a good start with good flavours of whisky and ginger ale. gets you started on the right note. next we ordered a van gogh swirls and smokes, and a cezanne nahi asaani for my wife. both the drinks were excellent choices. hers was more fruity just like she likes it and mine was more flavourful with a nice pleasant after taste.
for food, since we were quite hungry, we went straight for a large plate, it was called aam kasundi fish. flavorful fish curry with tangy taste along with ghee rice. must say it was quite commendable and the portion size although small was apt for 2 people.
the servers were always attentive with the ambience and music adding a great deal to the vibe.
it is definitely on the expensive side with couple of drinks and one large plate costing us inr 3k for 2 people – but definitely a place to come back whenever one feels like chilling and splurging.
