way 2 go catfish

50 cents for a container???!. i tried this place for the first time on friday. the food was good, but i probably won't be going back. i ordered a 3 piece fried catfish. i requested that my fries be put in a separate container because it has been my experience that the steam from hot fries makes fried fish soggy. a woman i assume is the manager informed me that i would be charged 50 cents for the extra container. i was shocked but said ok. at that point i decided not to return no matter how good the food. i know a new business has challenges but that was a customer service issue. one little cardboard container is not 50cents and it's not like every customer makes that request. i ask for my fries separately every time at wings and more and they never charge me or give me a problem. i guess i will continue to go to wings and more and spend my money outside of desoto. to building a business and a rapport especially if you are a new business, don't nickel and dime new customers.

over priced. i ordered 3 piece catfish fillet and it was like 15 bucks - the taste was ok and the fish and fries was greasy and for that price you would think it would be better - i had fish from the desoto fish market and it was like 10 bucks for a pound of fillets fried.

the fish is good but they don't give you a full size fillet anymore and you pay double than anyone else - literally - 4pc here 20 dollars - 4pc at mason's down the street 10 bucks and both are good but mason's give you a full fillet and their tartar sauce is way better and for that reason i can't go back to way2go - momma didn't raise no fool.........

fish was either over fried or refried. it had a bad after taste. cobbler was refrigerator cold and possibly not done. food is much more expensive than comparable places in the area. will never go back.

tonight was my last visit. this place will not get out its own way. the service is poor at best. the food good but not always as fresh for as long as they make you wait. second time around giving them a chance. there will not a third. the management really needs to clean up her attitude as well. sad part i did give a second chance because i really like fish. oh well moving on.....the 1.5 is because the fish is real fish.

best catfish and bangin beans in town. excellent food, service,and clean. food consistently seasoned, cooked to perfection, and hot! worth the money and trip!

way 2 go fried catfish is just that, the way 2 go!!:) fantastic food!!:). i started going to way 2 go almost 1 year ago. i did like most people who have made entries, i just stumbled upon the location. so all i can say from that day 2 this 1, n going 4ward is thank u jesus!!:) wow the food is fantastic!!:) it maybe a bit pricey, but i'm like this i pay 4 what i want!!:) so i'm hooked, n the staff basically know me by name, voice, n face!!:) they are amazing, n they have me as a customer 4 life!!:)

simply the best!. i agree with the last post, you pay for what you get. to me, well i know, the fish is real catfish...not some thin tilapia fried and said to be catfish. i live in irving and stumbled upon this place while in desoto one day and i have been going there every since! i love the fact that i get real fillets that taste good and fried to perfection! the people there are nice and the inside is very clean and cool while you wait!!!!! haven't found any other place that compares, it is well worth the money and the drive for me and my family!

way over prized. i ordered 6 shrimp and 1 piece of fish and paid roughly $17.00.
i would have left it there, but that's not my style and i really wanted to try the food. i will not be eating there again!

too high!!!!!!!!!!!. waaaaaaaaaaaaaay too expensive. two pieces of catfish, 4 shrimp, coleslaw (extra) and fries.... $19.00. the shrimp was tough (overcooked). coleslaw had way too much pepper. i'm all for small business, but this was just too much to pay for this. it did not taste bad, but that price it should have been fabulous!!!!

just around the corner and amazing. friendly staff and the best catfish i have had that i didn't catch and fry myself. top cat down the street should be renamed, it sure isn't top over way 2 go catfish. everything was cooked to order. the catfish fillets and fries were perfectly cooked and seasoned. the fish is light and crispy. do yourself a favor go in and visit them you will not be disappointed. the fillets/steak/nugget meals all come with fries, dipping sauce of their own concoction, two pieces of white bread and pickles and a jalapeno.
