wave restaurant at danfords hotel and marina

visited during the happy hours. nice location. cheap drinks (alcoholic and non-alcoholic). food was okayish (pita trio was good but shrimp dumplings were flop and overrated)

the atmosphere was very pretty and service friendly and attentive. appetizers were good the bread was stale and hard as a rock. when it came to main course i told the waiter i had a food allergy and asked for no spice on my food. when the pasta dish came it was full of hot pepper and the waiter was very apologetic and said the chef made the mistake. when the new dish came back it was suppose to be in a garlic wine sauce but was swimming in water and was just plain pasta with some clams on top. it was disgusting and i couldn't eat it. it was as they washed off the pasta and threw it back in my dish. i was very disappointed.

made reservations to do the unlimited brunch at wave. the restaurant even called the night before to confirm. that being said, wave does not honor reservations!!! we had a family emergency that caused us to be fifteen minutes late; the hostess said the table is given away to walk-ins after 15min. absolutely ridiculous. even the best 5star restaurants give you at least half an hour. we confirmed with wave the night before. if they they were that concerned they should've called us again before giving up our table. danfords is a 3star establishment parading around as if they're the plaza.

rude wait staff. my sister and i were enjoying lunch at the wave at danfords yesterday. we ere finishing our second drink when the waitress brought the check. she came by twice to pick it up, but we were not ready. the hostess approached and asked us to leave. she said that they had people waiting and needed the table. i looked around at the five empty tables and was told that the server for those tables was not a strong server. we had just spent $68 dollars for a sandwich and four drinks, in no more than and hour and a half. i guess that makes or waitress an strong server and the one who makes money for the restaurant. i realize tables have to turn over but this was unreasonable. three women next to us overheard and thought the hostess was very rude. we left. o course we will not go back to the wave, but the staff won't care, people are waiting to be seated.

amazing. the new chef from vegas is fantastic. the new menu was exciting, the service was excellent without the snobbery and the quality was above my expectations.

wonderful!!. a great dining experience! i've dined at this restaurant many times, and expect to go back many more. the wave is right on the water, and the newly renovated restaurant gives a new hip feeling to the overall nautical theme.

the food is amazing! the menu is a little small, but don't let that deter you! i went there for my second wedding anniversary this year and had the grilled salmon with cauliflower, spinach, radicchio, olives, and a balsamic reduction. the fish was cooked to perfection--the outside was lightly crispy due to the seasoning and grilling, which was to be expected, but it was wonderfully flaky, and the vegetables complemented it well, both in texture and taste.

the desserts are also wonderful. i had the chocolate mousse dome...and it was not to sweet, and a great ending to a great dinner!!

i recommend the wave restaurant at danfords to all my friends who are looking for a classy restaurant with good food and a great atmosphere.

danfords. i had a company holiday party upstairs and had a great time. great, friendly, fun to talk to bar tender. fantastic little appetizers. brunch was good as well. nice location, usually friendly staff.
