food sucks. if anyone has ever ate at wagner's should know that it is nothing more than three step gravy and sysco food. what idiot can't make bean soup.

good luck with the two week old bean soup, dis-satisfied customer

we were seated at a dirty table. unfriendly waitress took our food order. refilled the coffee once when she brought the check. i had asked for honey to go with my biscuits and she never came back-at all. we watched as one of the employees mixed up the gravy from a packet. then microwaved sausage pieces to go in it. the biscuits are frozen and reheated. my ham was good and so were my eggs. we were incredibly disappointed in the service and quality and cleanliness.

our first time at wagner's pharmacy. we arrived about 8:30 in the morning for breakfast and seated ourselves. this place is not fancy, but really cool looking with old formica table tops and the walls are covered in old horse racing memorabilia. our waitress came over and got our drink order while we looked over the menu. my husband decided on the pam and jack omelet that was featured on throw down with bobby flay. i chose the ham and cheese omelet and decided to add gravy to my side of biscuits, because they had won best of louisville. our drinks came out in styrofoam cups (which was nice for a tea to go). our breakfast came quickly and my husbands omelet was huge! i think it was twice the size of mine and mine wasn't little by any means. the biscuits were light and fluffy, maybe the best i have ever had out. i wish they were served with real butter instead of country crock.  the gravy on the other hand was just ok. it might have been a mix, either way i was not impressed. something i found a little odd, our omelets were served on real plates but our biscuits came on styrofoam plates. what keeps this from getting a higher score was our server. she was not overly busy, but was not friendly and never came back to check on us. she took our order, brought our drinks and dropped off our food and check at the same time. there was another waitress that was talking with her customers and smiling, getting refills for them. our waitress missed the mark.

local historical gem! it is certainly an old pharmacy connected with a diner/ mom and pop style. this is where all the great horse history has went down over the years. has plenty of derby history as well- featured disney movie secretariat. highly recommend the breakfast or a good burger! stop in before you hit the track!

while at first glance the building may not seem enticing on the outside, it is the perfect fit for a racetrack pharmacy diner that has been feeding the appetites of horsemen and women for over ninety years. with almost every inch of wall space lined with kentucky derby memorabilia, wagner's is a must do stop for anyone interested in churchill downs history.

awesome place louisville legend. great place - the omelettes are amazing - they have been featured on bobby flay throwdown for them.. also have great chili and derby sandwich. place has been there forever and i think the employees have too. family feel. lots of derby nostalgia on wall. at any time you can see trainers, jockeys, owners eating there, dont even try to go derby weekend. love this place...

friday special (fried fish). i have been to wagner's many times over the past few years, but usually go on fridays because of their fried cod fillet sandwich lunch special served with a choice of two sides. once i had their 3 dollar burgers (no thrills) and was totally satisfied. the sandwich itself comes with 2 fillets and and is perfect size. you pick the bread for the sandwich. the whole meal costs no more than $8 and is perfectly portioned. wagner's is an authentic kentucky diner where pictures of derby horses adorn the walls and round spinning stools line the diner bar. it is also a pharmacy which includes bourbon, vodka, and whiskey by the pint. a one-of-a-kind dive that no one ever talks about. if you're in town for the derby or want to eat traditional southern food (fried chicken, or good burgers), stop into this friendly and tasteful bizarre.
