voila! was one of those places i drove past a gazillion times, each time wondering about when i would remember to ask jay cardinal about it. (fortunately it was he who reminded me when i defaulted to picking califrnia pizza kitchen for dinner.) i was struck right away by how quiet and spacious things were. our waiter was well-versed in the menu and specials and took excellent care of us. the foie gras appetizer and beet salad were amazing; dh has a seared tuna special that knocked his socks off, while i had no regrets with my duck special ---prepared two ways, roasted breast and confit. wines by the glass rotate weekly; a earthy yet peppery cote du rhone played up all my dishes nicely and didnt break the bank. dessert was fair; the appetizers and dinner overshadowed them a bit. overall, voila! was a real treat. my only regret is we didn't go sooner!

what took us so long?. we have driven passed voila for twelve years without trying it. that streak was broken this past saturday and we're glad we did.
it was a delightful dining experience. my wife had the mushroom soup special and the scallops. i had mussels over wide noodles as an appetizer, and the duck as an entree. the duck just feel off the bone and was delightful.
for dessert my wife had a hazelnut souffle while i had the apple crepes. the service was very attentive.
we both would highly recommend voila.

new menu. it rocks. sit outside and enjoy the vacation feeling. still the best long island ice teas ever.

voila. regular guest there. omg. great food and the friendliest staff ever. they are bad because they don't highlight their restaurant sign. go there. still have great long island ice teas.

st james has a few good places to eat. voilà is one of the best. very relaxed setting and friendly staff. free bread is expected but there's is so fresh and tasty. monkfish was on the menu tonight and cooked great. the duck was the best i have had for a long time. long island ice tea. fantastic. ask for orange slices in it. well worth a visit.

a special dinner. my husband and i enjoyed a wonderful dinner tonight at voila. we both picked the prix fixe dinner for $32. there were many appetizers to choose from and about 10 entrees. after being seated we were brought a tiny tartly to taste and warm bread for the table. our appetizers were both beautifully presented and delightful to eat. everything was so tasty and displayed like a work of art that we were dutifully impressed. portions were not exceeding large, but definitely sufficient. it was a nice change to feel satisfied and pleased by the food you've eaten, but not stuffed. a true dining experience. i hope to return soon.

good food & drinks, a la carte & smaller portions but that's expected for a place such as this. price fixe menu is a nice option as well. outdoor seating available.

good. awesome position for a basic evening meal with a cup of vino. they provide expert service to their clients which is very unusual. if you are partner of seafood, then there you are is the position for you. this position actually makes you feel at home.
