aboslutely delicious. we dined here on a friday evening and they were busy. they quoted us a 25 minute wait, but only waited about 15. this place is very small....tiny, tiny!! there are two sides for diners to sit at, and the tables seat 4. the service here was excellent. everything arrived promptly and our waters were kept full and the wine was plentiful as well. i had never tried vodka sauce and neither had the hubs so we ordered a side to try with our garlic bread, it was uttlery amazing. i wonder if it's that good elsewhere? their garlic bread was delish and soft and warm.

for an appetizer we had the antipasto plate, and it had a good variety of yummy italian meats. the mortadella was my favorite. we didn't care much for the salads that came along with out entrees though. hubs had the italian with house dressing and i had the caesar. mine had too much dressing on it and not enough romaine hearts, which in turn left the leaf lettuce wilty and it was doused in parmesan cheese, although it was freshly grated parmesan, so that was a plus. hubs salad was just bag lettuce with a little tomato slice and a little red onion slice, also doused in mozzarella cheese, but alas, was also freshly shredded and was a plus. the house dressing which is creamy italian, was flavorful and awesome.

for our entrees hubs had the linguini with clam sauce and he added shrimp. it wasn't clear on the menu if the clam sauce actually had clams in it, so he wanted some seafood meat just in case. but the dish did come with clams in it. he really enjoyed it. any avid seafood lover would. but if you're like me, and only like seafood on occasion, you wouldn't want to order it because it is a powerful seafood dish. i had the ravioli and requested half alfredo and half tomato sauce, as they do with their totellini. after trying a bunch of their sauces, they obviously make them homemade, fresh in house. none of the sauces disappointed. they were all full of flavor and absolutely mouthwatering. their raviolis appeared to be homemade as well. they were round pasta pockets, some filled with a cheese mixture and then separate ones filled with a meat mixture. the meat mixture was really ground up well and a nice texture and flavor. it definitely wasn't the square ravioli pillows with jagged edges i was expecting. and they don't skimp on the sauce at all. why had we waited so long to try this restaurant? it exceeding our expectations on service, food, flavor, everything. we have been loyal fans of augustino's for years, and there are some aspects of augustino's that we like better, but vito's just might become our go-to italian spot from now on.

so good i had to write a review immediately!. i had never heard of the place but a groupon for it a few months back caught my eye and i decided to try it. my girlfriend and i ate here tonight and we were both really impressed!!! i had the chicken diablo and my girlfriend had the lasagna. both were absolutely delicious, and the prices were very reasonable - groupon or not. we will definitely be coming back here! the place is unassuming from the outside but nice on the inside without being too fancy. i think it'd make a great first date spot. service was prompt and courteous.

yum. my favorite thing here is the cheese bread. it melts in your mouth. i couldn't stop thinking about it after the first time i ate here.
everything i've ordered here has been wonderful. i've never been here with anyone who didn't love what they ordered.
i was here last night with someone who loves the seafood fettucine, but is watching her cholesterol, so she ordered salmon over angel hair pasta. it was incredible.
another friend swears by the fettucine alfredo.
i've had the chicken marsala and liked it. i usually get the chicken dish with sausage and a creamy tomato sauce. i can't remember the name at the moment.
i've had a large event here in their side room, and the service was excellent and everyone raved about the food.
great place. not my side of town, but i come here to eat as often as possible.
yum-o!

love love love. this is my favorite restaurant in the city. the person who is partial to olive garden over vitos is... well lacking something. their alfredo is to die for, as is their homemade bleu cheese dressing. their bread is fabulous--so soft and buttery. i love that they let you get mixed sauces--i usually get ravioli with half red and half alfredo. it is the best of both worlds! the service is always great. i have been there many times and the only time we had to wait on anything was when a large party had to leave before we could sit down. obvously vito's had no control over that. this place is well worth the try. :)

vodka sauce done right. vodka sauce - rarely does vodka sauce live up to expectations but this deserves an award, seafood fettucini - huge shrimp and cheeeesy, and lasagna - huge, cheesey, and presentation is beautiful. the garlic bread is the best. if you have ever had pasquali's pizza same oohey, gooey, buttery, garlicky goodness. arrive hungry and preorder to go box. even the salad is top notch.
