virgin courtyard

had been here with my fiancée and had made a request with the hotel staff to make the evening special and memorable which they probably did not understand and i finally gave up and just went for dinner. great ambiance for a romantic dinner though could do with a better music. good food and the best part was the charcoal next to you in the cold night to keep you warm!

worst food ever.
i came here in 2012 and decided that i won't come here again, bcz of the food obviously. today my siblings forced me to try it again. yet again horrible food.
the waiter was tripped out. we ordered spaghetti, simplest one, they made it thrice but it was still inedible. the greek pizza was shit!! and some kind of chicken my sibling ordered was awful. we ate nothing. just had our drinks. and the annoying staff who continuously messed up our order didn't even offer a discount as an apology gesture. anyway! i'm never going back to that horrible place again. 0 marks from my side.

the outside of the restaurant, with the laid stones and marble work were very pleasing to look at, and the ambience of the restaurant was also nice.

i tried their strawberry virgin mojito to drink, which was quite nice. to eat, i tried their spiedint toscaon chicken, pepperoni pizza and mushroom stuffed cheese. the first was above average; the pizza was nice and the last dish was really good.

the service was a bit slow but otherwise decent. overall, a nice place.

one of my favorite places in chandigarh, loves to always come back here and dine. love everything about this place from the ambiance , the bar and the food. ordered white sauce penne which was really yummy. and the drinks ordered were fresh. always feels good to come back !

great place... candle light evenings leave me speechless :d about the food... non. veg menu is good but the veg menu has very less options plus not as good as non veg. items. i have tried them both.

probably one of the best italian places in chandigarh. ( also probably one of the few examples of a fine dinning place in the city). the place has great ambience with wonderfully thought out interiors. the food is top quality even if the portion size is a little small compared to our indian standards. the presentation is good, service quick. the only problem i faced was the lack of vegetarian options but the asparagus risotto is phenomenal.

went there for dinner, the ambiance was good but the food was rather poor for the cost. pizza was still better. got complimentary  dish to try as well. the soup was good and fresh. but chocolate fondant was just hopeless. do not try that. it's a joke.

what a place! serenity, ambience, that greek feel...that herbal aroma...and that sumpulicious food! a perfect romantic date hideout...and an italian foodie's typical destination...from crockery, cutlery, butlers, beverages, accompaniments to music, lighting, sitting and service...virgin courtyard is definitely worth every penny!

had wonderful time at virgin courtyard with friends....we ordered for aranchini which was very well presented with cherry tomato confit, tomato mascarpone sauce & basil dust then chicken olivetti, bacon wrapped apricot perfect blend of sweet & salt, in the maincourse meat lasagna, chicken gorgonzola and in the dessert chocolate fondant....it was perfect...good job guys keep it up

went to vc with my family and what a place...we had lasagna with meat sauce , grilled vegetables with cous cous...vegetables were crispy  & chocolate fondant ....all were fantastic....this place deserve 5 ***** rating not less than that

simply put average food and terrible service. 
had gone there with the kids and right at the beginning of our order we told them to have the chocolate fondant prepared cause we knew it takes a while. we had starters. maincourse and yet found ourselves waiting for the dessert for over 15 minutes after the maincourse. 
on inquiring we were rather candidly told that it on its way cause the server forgot about it. since we were in a rush asked them to cancel it and get the cheque which changed their tune completely.  the desserts were served in the next two min and voila one was done to perfection while the other was horrible and completely underdone. 
asked for the manager , who was on a break. the chef graced us with his presence and fully accepted that the dessert was no done well at all and then they went on to charge us for it too. 
absolutely wonderful !!! 
the beans in the food were soft and chewy instead of crunchy. the lamb in the lasagna was smelly. however the pork belly was lovely and the pizza was done to perfection too. though the mince in the pizza was also smelly.
for me food and service go hand in hand when rating a place and in this case i found that the staff lacked big time in hospitality .

favourite place of a friend, and the friend wasn't wrong in suggesting this for a good evening experience.

the place: situated on the rear side of sector 7, right from the small water fountain/stream at entrance the place speaks of serenity and romance. the character of the place if romance. the ambience is indeed dreamy, aesthetically done in white with perfect lighting. the courtyard has some 6-7 tables and again appealing ambience with candle lit tables.

the highlight will be to sit out and enjoy the evening. (depending upon the weather ofcourse). however, the sitting inside is a promising experience too, with no loud music and aptly lit room.

the food: ordered baked ravioli and mixed sauce pasta. the food was flavourful, subtle and served fast despite the place being almost full, served with portions of really soft brown breads with flavoured butter and sauces. the portions however could be worked upon.
the place offers a variety of wine by glass or by bottle, and also other drinks, its a full bar menu. wine however goes well with the setting and food in the menu. served chilled and the servers were well trained and had details on how and what is being served.

recommendation: if you are looking for a heart to heart chatter or a hearty meal with a glass of wine.this is the place to be at. good food, good wine....just go in with good company.

ah ! just the place to be on a pleasant evening ! amazing outdoor seating and lively interiors just light up this place . the food is incomparable and to put it in a subtle way, it's just out of the world!
