we had our christmas eve dinner at villa parma. the food was excellent as was the service by our waitress elise (?). the problem we had was in our seating arrangement. we made a reservation over a month ago for 5 people. we thought we made it for 6:00 p.m. but we were down for 6:30. when we made our reservation we were told we would need to be out by 8:00 p.m. and that was fine. since we thought our reservation was for 6 we got there at 5:30 but could not be seated. when we returned at 6:15 we were seated at a booth with a chair at the end. this situation did not work for us. we had no leg room, elbow room, or table room. we had to eat quick so we would have room for new plates. when we talked to the hostess, she said that the other tables were reserved and she couldn't help us. however, when we got there at 5:30 there were several tables open and we would have left by the time other parties arrived. i do not know what the hostess was thinking when she sat 5 adults at a booth. it would be a hard fit for 4 adults, with 5 it was almost impossible. i think they should do a better job at seating arrangements when taking reservations. if we knew we would be getting a booth we would have made alternate arrangements. other than that, we were pleased.
