last week we dropped by at uttar dakshin for dinner.
location: the eatery is situated near howrah bridge,kalimati road, sakchi.
the place is easy to locate, with roadside parking. parking may get little difficult if the place is full.
ambience: simple with sober false ceiling lighting arrangements. seating arrangements include cozy face to face two seaters as well round and rectangular seating where group of people can be accommodated well.
service: the person ( i guess management person) who was taking orders and giving insight about the dishes was very polite courteous and nice.
after serving each dish they asked whether we liked it or not.
food: we wanted to have fish,that was not available, we were conveyed the message politely.
we went ahead with abu chilly chicken. medium sized succulent pieces of marinated chicken served with pudina chutney. the chicken was done to perfection , liked the seasoning.
for main course we ordered yakhni pulao and dehati chicken.
we were informed the yakhni pulao is not the regular one that we get at other cities,still we wanted to give it a try.
the pulao was decent with chunks of mutton pieces, rice was spiced and aromatic. quantity is decent.
dehati chicken prepared in fried onion paste, goes well with the pulao.
the ipl special finger foods and drinks are good.
loved the lemon kiwi soda was quite impressive!

overall : the place has great potential, considering the right attitude of the management, great location of the place andgoodfood.
shall look forward to explore other dishes with friends and family ☺️.
