fantastic food! the lamb burger was the best burger i've ever had. the jalapeño mac and cheese and sweet potatoes fries also were excellent. friendly service on a nice patio overlooking the lake.

i recently visited minneapolis with some friends. we came upon urban eatery through a recommendation from a local who where they call "uptown". our server was nice, and recommended their hamburger. although i had hoped to enjoy minnesota's "famed juicy lucy", i took the servers recommendation. the hamburger and fries were great. a friend had their hummus, and it was very good. prices appeared reasonable. they offered free parking the night we were there, and that was a big plus. other restaurants should take notice.

minneapolis, you managed to impress bay area visitors.  you're not just "fly over" country after all...

this place has great options for food. i had the the chicken sandwich and it was amazing, filled with cheese, basil, and prosciutto. i was very filled. my boyfriend got the ribs, and it had mac and cheese as a side. we decided to order the pulled pork to go in/ with it, and that was a great choice. the mac and cheese itself was even good. i also had the passion fruit punch, which was unique and reminded me of "pog juice" from hawaii.

fabulous evening. following a segway ride around lake calhoun, we used a groupon for dinner at the urban eatery. it was fabulous! they have unique offerings, great service (robert was so attentive - looked up menu items to accommodate an allergy/kept water glasses full/friendly and truly seems to enjoy his work!) and so much food we brought some home! we would highly recommend urban eatery.

good place. the wed evening surf and turf (2 small fillets, a skewer of small shrimp, asparagus and a large hash brown "cake") was a very reasonable $20. although slightly under-cooked (ordered medium rare and came rare), it was seasoned to perfection and delicious! overall based on service/abeyance/quality/quantity and free valet parking i give it 9 out of a 10.

all that glitters is definitely not gold. terrible slow service. we were a group of 9, wedged into two high tables while other large tables were available. slow service, and steak so overdone and poorly seasoned, i'm contemplating vegetarianism. waiter was super hyper but checked back at odd times and left us without drinks during the 30 minute lag between apps and main entree. a great restaurant if you've foresworn taste, service, and pleasure. otherwise, save your money for a decent place. two disappointed thumbs down.

don't go!. this restaurant has a rude owner/server, rude servers and staff. i've never experienced anything like it. the food is nothing great. if it weren't for the weddings upstairs and the residents at cbc, the placed would've closed a long time ago. this place has very odd hours (due to financial issues, i assume)....they aren't even open weekdays -(during the daytime) and often close early in the evening. bizarre.

anniversary dinner. smoked duck nachos were awesome, and stole the show. we both had the steak with blue cheese/portabello crust over hash. the steaks were prepared perfectly. the waiter was helpful with our order and kept our water glasses full.

great uptown spot. great menu and happy hour!!!

first time diner. probably some of the worst food i've had in the twin cities in the last 5 years. one dish was so salty that it was inedible. the salad had cilantro in it, which was not listed on the menu and my wife does not like cilantro. asparagus side dish did not have the woody part of the stalk removed. and finally, the sad turkey burger (a 25 minute wait) which was a pre-made, pre-frozen burger with fake grill marks on it (probably from costco). once we took the cheese off, the chemical/preservative taste was more than evident and the scalloped edge of the burger was a dead give away that it was not fresh.

readers beware! most all of the reviews are written by the staff and owners of urban eatery. for one the "reviews" read like advertisements. the amount of details and information provided is a dead giveaway. also most of the "reviewers" have only one or two review. several of the people with two reviews just so happened to endorse restaraunts owned by same people. i took my girlfriend there and the consensus was "blah". if you want to know what the food is like imagine applebee's but with an extra dollar sign. so please don't even bother. much better food in this area. shawn m and dr. m? pathetic.

fantasgreat.... urban eatery has become one of our go to spots for food in uptown. we live downtown but we often go to uptown for dinner. a friend had introduced us to urban eatery a while back and it has been a treat. favorites so far are the guacamole for appetizer, local greens salad, tomato avocado pizza, whiskey soy salmon and the walleye entrees, of course the free valet at nights helps too. we usually sit at the bar and visit our favorite bartender brian. two thumbs up ....

great new spot in uptown. i had dinner with two friends at urban eatery on friday night. holy cow what a great spot. i had the lamb burger, my friends ordered the pizza and the chicken pot pie, and we split the asian pork sliders and the smoked duck nachos for appetizer.
the food was outstanding and our server manny couldn't have been nicer. the ambience was warm and comfy. the free valet was a great touch as well. highly recommend it. we will be back often.

amazing breakfast and bloody mary bar. service is great and they have a very nice outdoor patio when the weather is warm. great view too!

so good. patio seating with awesome view over lake calhoun. service was excellent and staff was super accomidating. the personality of the serving team is friendly/fun yet professional. food was great, especially the guacamole. highly recommend it!

great uptown restaurant. i was walking around lake calhoun with the girlfriend when we saw urban eatery across lake street. we decided to stop in and have a drink since we figured it was happy hour. they have a tiered happy hour, meaning there are different menu items for either 3,4,5, or 6 dollars. i love when restaurants do this. the portion sizes were what i expected for the prices. we got the tator tots for 4 dollars and there are a ton. we also got the smoked chicken taco. just the right amount for happy hour food. we ordered some drinks and that was that!
