very good stuff. nice staff, friendly owner, fantastic food. bbq pork and brisket are awesome. sides are great as well. worth the trip

tys is great! the slaw is not your ordinary slaw and the meat is cooked to perfection. i traveled the south on a bbq mission last year and ty's is something to be reckoned with.

sampler platter. double meat platter with rib tips and brisket, bbq beans and fried okra. yummy!

rib tips were very good, sides were all awful, manager was rude after they left out a part of my order. prices were a little high for what we got. they won't survive the competition in bartlett. good riddance.

best store bought bbq i've had to date. had pork plate with beans and tater salad. beans were awesome. mustard tater salad is not my favorite. will try brisket next.

had the smoked ham sandwich today. outstanding!! may be better than the bbq.

their meats are smoked to perfection! the brisket literally melted in your mouth. the sides were great too. we will definitely be regulars!!

this bbq is amazing people. we are pretty much the only people in the place when we go which is kinda nice. i get the jumbo sandwich, but everything on the menu is good.

classic dry ribs. been to ty's once for lunch and the pulled chicken was good. went back to try the ribs and were pleasantly surprised with the crunch and flavored. bold and meaty, these ribs might make me stop doing them myself.

it's worth the trip out if your way to eat here. i ordered the sampler platter and all if the bbq was very good. the bbq pork could have used a little more seasoning, but it was still good. mac and cheese was awesome, bbq beans were very good, wet ribs were great!

bought the groupon to try this place out. got the ribs, beans, and onion rings. everything was great! well seasoned with a good amount of smoke. will be going back soon to get a pulled pork sammich or two

fantastic food & service!. ty's opened up here in bartlett a couple of months ago. i was a little leery of yet another bbq place... since most of them are not good at all. so after checking the menu out, i loaded up the kids and decided to give it a go.
when we arrived everything was nice and clean, no greasy tables or floors, which was a refreshing change from most bbq places. there was plenty of space in the dining area, 3 big tv's, nice posters all over the walls from memphis in may, and a area for ty's trophies. it's not over done but it is nice. i was greeted as soon as i walked through the door. the girl that took my order was more than patient taking my order, which changed around a few times.
we all ordered the pulled pork sandwich, slaw, and onion rings. she told me she would bring our food right out to us and within 6 minutes she did (they had to cook the onion rings). our pulled pork buns were toasted which was nice and a good mound of pulled pork laid on top with a small amount of sauce. i like a lot of sauce so i grabbed all three of their offerings and tried it out. the original was okay nothing spectacular. the smoky was a hit with everyone. the hot had a little heat to it but wasn't too hot, it was good though. i mixed the hot and smoky and that was a winning combo. the sandwich was phenomenal!! the pork was juicy and tender with a good amount of flavor. i knew just from the first two bites that we would be back! the slaw had an orange color to it which left me a little bit concerned but i must say it was fantastic. very different flavor, like nothing i've ever had before, just fantastic! the onion rings are homemade and boy can you tell it! they were the best onion rings i've had in years. nice batter to them, good flavor, just the right amount of thickness. overall, we are in love with these onion rings!
while we were eating, the girl that took our order checked on us and then ty came out to see if we were liking our food. that was a nice touch. in fact, i've noticed that no matter what time of day we come, he always tries to come out and talk to his customers. those are the little things that matter so much.
we have been back several times and every single visit is fantastic. very consistent quality, good service, and oh so yummy! we always leave with smiles on our faces, feeling happy, and with a full belly of some of the best bbq in memphis. this surely out does corey's (blech) or any other mainstream bbq place in the city!!

ty's smokehouse has catered 2 of our holiday parties (thanksgiving & christmas office party), and both times the food they've provided has been amazing. we had a whole ham provided for thanksgiving, and it was excellent, but not nearly as perfect as the smoked ham they provided for the christmas party. the smoked ham is full of wonderful smoked flavor, and falls apart it's so tender. we also got a cheese cube and sausage platter, & people couldn't stop eating it because it was so delicious. you simply can't get a better smoked ham anywhere else!

bbq sandwich was very good , it could use a little more seasoning. i will try the tenderloin sandwich. very nice people and clean restaurant

picked up 2 sandwiches to go, meat was good but a little dry. i like the idea of daily specials. service was friendly. i will go back.

myyyyyyy goodness!!!!!!. stopped by ty's for the very first time and ordered the rib tip basket and a iowa tenderloin. before i even left ty's i was eating the rib tips. the rib tips are so good that i bit my tongue while i ate smokey deliciousness!! now while i am a dry rib kinda guy, i tasted the sauce and was quite pleased with the "smoke" sauce and the "hot" sauce. the iowa tenderloin is simply amazing!!! rightly seasoned, juicy and tender. ty's is indeed worth every dollar!!!!
