the online review and the menu of this place looked so good.
i liked the dining environment - less like traditionalkoreanrestaurants, and more like a bar. seemed like the perfect place to catch up with friends or have a drink on evening and weekends.
we have tried fried chicken from many different places. unfortunately, the fried chicken with cheese from this place just did not hit the brief. never mind that it was not sweet, spicy, and sticky likekoreanfried chicken should be. the skin was crunchy enough, but completely flavorless. the meat was quite dry. and although it was topped with a generous of cheese, it was in powder form, which made the dish even more dry. would have been better if the cheese was melted.
the other two dishes we ordered were very pleasant though. my friend found the spicy pork belly soup too spicy, but i thought it was absolutely delicious. the pork was cooked perfectly tender, and there was a good amount of vegetables.
the show stopper was the gorgonzola pizza. i never have thought of pairing cheese with honey, but for some reason, the flavours just combined so beautiful. we could not stop eating it!
we did find the serving sizes a bit smaller than other similar restaurants, but cost wise it was still very affordable. all in all, twelve was both a hit and a miss. i think i would just not order fried chicken from here next time, but would still come back just for their pizzas.
