i like it, but.... it's l.... i like it, but....

it's loud. really loud. pretty impossible to have a conversation at dinner. i don't think it's just 'cuz of all the kids, either - it's just the design and acoustics of the place.

i like the pizza okay: it's not change-your-life-good, but it's better than average. i would consider getting a pizza to go and then taking it home for a relaxing, conversational evening.

repeatable: maybe. visits: 2 tutta bella pie seattle is not new york or chicago, so you can fuhgeddabout all the fine distinctions that make pies worthy of either the big apple or the windy city. still, seattle's trying. tutta bella isn't exactly news any

i love going to tutta bella's late night happy hour. the menu is simple and straight forward. a couple of small pizza's for $8 each is more than enough food for two people. we didn't have any drinks that evening so our total bill was about $12 each including tax and tip. awesome!

used to love this place, but last night was the final straw.  our server was uninformed and then almost rude about it- and at the end of the meal dropped the bombshell that we owed her a mandatory 22% tip!  already on the pricey side (dinner was two pizzas, three salads, 2 single scoops of gelato, a soda and two draft beers for $100)- but then we had to pay a mandatory $20.00 tip, plus $2.00 tax on our tip).
add wa sales tax and it was $134 for dinner for two adults and a child.  pizzas are consistently soggy in the middle.  i don't recommend anymore.

defective, amateur service blights nicely-prepared food. staff is young and acts as though they are poorly trained. too many floor staff hang out at the reception, and even when the house is only a quarter full, you are pressed to get basic service.

when i'm alone and have a book, their slackness is bearable, but tonight i was taking a family out and chose tutta bella for the menu and how close it was. the floor staff managed to break the 15 minute rule...while hostess dropped menus at our table when she sat us, we couldn't get our order in or even water, even having caught the eye of our waitress at least twice. fifteen minutes after we were seated without being actually approached, we moved on to a different place up the street. on the positive side, the multitude of cute kid staff who had greeted us at the reception wished us a good evening as we left, very congenially, i should say.

tutta bella has consistently good service and pizza and we eat here usually once a month. they serve thin crust neapolitan pizza which is cooked in 60-90 seconds so it comes out very fast. they also have a nice selection of salads and good minestrone soup. they also have good gelato. it is a fun place to take kids!

delish neighborhood pizza. tutta bella is a great neighborhood spot in wallingford where you can find couples, families, and larger groups. it is always packed, but luckily they have a lot of seating so most of the time you don't need to wait too long. the pizza are thin crust - always ask for extra sauce for dipping. my personal dish suggestions are to try the misto pizza and make room for tiramisu. it is a perfect mid-week pizza break!

gluten free. if you are looking for gluten free pasta or pizza you will not find it here. advertising is a little deceptive. i did have a nice gluten free minestrone but only salads were offered as gf.

steve and i were reading an online article about the most yummy snacks and food in world. we saw that neapolitan pizza was on the list and realized we never had it before. regular standard pizza, yes but not a neapolitan one. we looked around to see if the seattle area had such a place and indeed it did. tutta bella!
we got the margherita pizza which was fantastic! the crust was delicate and crisp and the sauce on the pizza was wonderful! i can see why neapolitan pizzas were on that list!
service was friendly and prompt! looking forward to more of their fantastic pizza!

great pizza, now overrun by families!. i used to love tutta bella - some of the best neapolitan style pizza in the northwest. one of the locations has an alcoholic beverage - a twist on the shakerato. so tasty! the problem with the place these days is that it becomes family fun time - all day, every day and all night every night. there are often birthday parties, 3 tired parents trying to feed seventeen screaming children, all of whom are trying to play with the kids at the next table over. i think kids and families are just fine - but since i have no desire to be roped into sitting with a bunch of them, my last trip was 2 months back. never. again.

noisy, mediocre, expensive. did i mention noisy?. i know people who rave about this place. frankly, it makes me take their other recommendations less seriously.

bluntly, the tile floors, huge windows and masses of kids running around make this place a nightmare for conversation--or sanity. even when it's not filled with families, it's still loud. (btw, i love kids. but not when they're in restaurants and allowed to run around & yell as if they're at a playground.)

generally, the food is over-priced and mediocre. (okay, the beet salad is really good.) i don't like the crust or the sauce and, while i'm not a fan of pizza weighed down with 'stuff', these toppings are too minimal. (i should add i've given them three chances. this wasn't written based on an off-night.)

so, let's see: loud, expensive, mediocre food. even though it's only four blocks away, i'll always go somewhere else--or stay home.

the wife liked tutta bella in seattle, wa. i think that she is prejudiced but i won't say why here. but i agree, great stuff! the ambiance inside is perfect also.they have other neapolitan pizza locations too! she puts the brick oven pizza in nyc in her top four, but doesn't remember which great pizzeria in particular. on second thought, she thinks it's the oldest pizzeria in manhattan; that would make it lombardi's!? then diorios (grand jct., co.) and pizzeria bianco in phoenix agree with her. so there is your best of the best pizza in america, from an unbiased observer. she knows her food.

not worth the drive.. wallingford is a drive for me, but i like nothing more than to find a new place to have a slice of wood fire pie. we ordered a small, which worked as a snack at best. the prices are pretty high and the crust is not my favorite, but the quality of the toppings is outstanding. the service was not too bad either. if i lived nearby, i would probably eat here again, but not going all the way to wallingford for this.

all concept, mediocre to bad pizza. okay, i love thin crust pizza. however, thin crust pizza should never be so limp and soggy that when one tries to pick up a slice to put it on a plate the crust just simply falls apart from the "weight" of too meager toppings.

that's just bad pizza. since it happened twice nw, it seems that's the way it's (under) cooked there.

all i can say is, folks in wallingford must be desperate for high priced neighborhood pizza, no matter how bad, to be hyping this place.
