very good seafood; service sketchy
my wife daughter and i went to dinner here. drinks took 20 minutes to arrive after ordering. we started by sharing the oysters rockefeller and an order of appetizer meat balls. the oyster were probably the best we have had. the meatballs were tender and were in a tasty barbecue type sauce. my wife and daughter both ordered the grilled salmon which came with asparagus. they shared an order of crab mac and cheese. they both were very pleased with their entrees. i had the broiled swordfish with garlic mashed potatoes. it was a very nice piece of swordfish but it was not served very warm. it probably sat under a light waiting on the salmons which were piping hot. service was a bit sketchy and lacked cadence. slow to get drinks. quick appetizer service then a long pause for entrees. waiter had to do all busing although there appeared to be busboys.

boca meisner park location is much better than fort lauderdale. had the trout was great. we shared the chocolate bag - quite a unique desert.

average at best. average at best... on saturday night 1/31/2014 i took my wife to trulucks for her birthday dinner. our waitress was taking care of a party of six next to us, so our service was average at best. bread basket was never refilled, or even offered to be. water was warm, when i requested cold water, i received another bottle of warm water, which took quite some time. when it came time for a refill, time stood still. we ordered lobster, and king crab, when it was served, it was lukewarm, and the butter warmer was lit at the time of service. by the time the butter was warm, the food was cold. not worth the $75, and $69 prices by a long shot. how was my food??? the server never came by to ask. when it came time for desert and coffee, we declined and went to starbucks across the street, who out performed your staff by a long shot. maybe you should send your people there for training.
on saturday, i called and spoke to bart, one of your managers. he seemed some what concerned, and told me to try again, and let your staff and food prove itself. sorry, but for a $235 dinner with no value, there is no chance in me spending more money on a 50/50 chance. later that day, chris another manager called me about my experience, when i told him i spoke to bart earlier he was extremely rude, would not listen to me, and abruptly hung up. this just reinforced my feelings of average at best. in speaking to friends over the weekend and sharing my feelings, they seem to feel the same way. based on this, i would not return to your establishment to spend good money for average food and service, and chris sealed the deal with his arrogance and lack of class. you seem to post all of the compliments, why don't you take a complaint as serious. i am sure you would not like this note to hit social media, and or comment sites. thank you for a great disappointment. mitchell zwang

expected more. had the king crab, filet mignon and lobster. they weren't special and the latter two were over cooked. the calamari appetizer was the highlight. but the waiter..........waiter gave us his business card. do people really do that? that was so weird. for the money, thumbs down.

cocktails. have only been there for appetizers and cocktails at the bar a couple of times. they were tasty. if you go there on sundays they have happy hour prices all day long...

great happy hour! 2 for 1. try the sangria and the sliders. everything is delicious and half price

here fishy fishy. had a 30 dollar fish "chip" disguise in all kinds of condiments to make it look "supersized" is there such a thing as illegally serving entrees as finger foods? quality superb, portions tiny, eat before you go there

very good. superb live music, delicious food (not only seafood but everything in the menu) and tasteful decor. not cheap but worth it.

i will be back!!

disappointing. let me count the ways: watery clam chowder with rubber clams; terrible, dry, white bread (these prices merit good bread); mediocre cioppino. service fawning and intrusive. american coffee that tasted like bad turkish coffee. and they would only seat us outside without reservations, although restaurant (sunday night) had numerous tables which continued to be empty the entire time we dined. it wasn't actually a problem as it was a beautiful night, but still..

great food and even better service - try their date night menu, which is available every night. choice of soup/salad and entree with veggies, plus shared huge dessert at $35 pp makes this great value. kevin was our server on 2 recent occasions and he is a gem. polite, attentive w/o being intrusive, and great timing with food. and real easy on the eyes! wednesday nights are 50% all bottles of wine in their extensive collection. great attraction for a mid week dine.

this is the second truluck's i've been to. though the food was good, the sevice wasn't. with the amount of money you spend on dinner here, you should expect top notch service. as i've noted before in other reviews, if i could give them an "ok" rating i would, but the food tips to "like" vote in their favor.

game-on!. last season i came to truluck's for five "games". i call them games because every time i go i have fun (and games are fun). i don't really go to break a personal record (37 mediums). my only objective when i do go to tuluck's on a monday night for aice (all i can eat) stonies is to enjoy myself. i am far from a typical "boca" person, but this place is pretty friggin classy. the service is top-notch: always nice to have a place call to confirm your rezzy and then call after you have dined with them to make sure everything was to your liking and hope you think of them again. pretty nice. last season my server was louis but he got traded to the new fort lauderdale store. my new server is ashley and she is fantastic. i'm trying to keep as much money in my pocket these days, so i dont think i'll be there as frequesnt, although you do get some great value here - if you're hungry enough for it....... i am....

excellent atmosphere. fresh, delicious seafood. excellent crab and oysters. highly recommended.

really, lobster mac 'n cheese.... everyone talks about the lobster mac 'n cheese. after eating here on several occasions, i can't shake the feeling that this is an upscale legal seafoods. while the décor is tasteful and the staff do their duty, there is a vaguely institutional feeling about the overall experience. perhaps this is because the staff are somewhat inflexible. this remains a good spot to meet friends after a marathon shopping spree.

really top notch. the crab is some of the best i have had anywhere and i love crab. the wine list is also a complete hit in this hip and stylish see and be seen. a complete 10 every time.
