the restaurant was well decorated and the atmosphere was inviting. our waitress got snoody when i asked if the salads were entre portions. she replied that "true food kitchen stresses eating healthy and smaller portions." all i asked was if the salads were sides or entree sizes. that's not the reply i expected. the food however was good. the hummus plate is good but be careful because the pita is extremely hot when it comes out. i would go here again but i will ask for a different waitress next time.

sea bass tacos were a 6.8 out of 10. small and not a lot of flavor, but ok. had bites of other meals, salad and spaghetti squash and both were good.

this place is hit or miss, some dishes are awesome and others are just mediocre. the red curry shrimp is great if you like spicy food.

fantasic flavor, experience, and health. my wife and i have been "above average" nutrition conscious for the past 25 years. for example, getting 3-5 servings of vegetables a day has been the norm for us. over the past 4 months we have had a pretty dramatic change in our diet and understanding of how our food choices affect our vitality and health (basically following jj virgin's plan on clean eating). this does make eating out a bit of a challenge as you really need know the details what you're eating.

dining at true foods was an extremely refreshing experience. first the staff is friendly and knowledgeable. far from being put off by detailed questions, they were very helpful and we both learned from each other. none of this would matter if the food wasn't also flavorful and exciting, or if we felt poorly afterwards. none of that was an issue; we split a bison burger, the blueberry muffin, and the mediterranean salad. it was excellent and i'm writing this 24hrs later, we felt great all day!

delicious, cleansing, healthy, friendly. i got off the plane from vegas, after a week of binging on food and drink and told my friend i just wanted to eat kale. she said she knew just the place. i had a delicious kale-based drink, a tempeh, lettuce, and tomato sandwich with a side of sweet potato hash and a kale salad. delicious and just what i needed. i had a real ginger soda (the natural) for dessert. (not a ginger beer or ginger ale, real, slightly spicy ginger in soda water. oh mama, just the thing for a hurtin’ tummy.) kale drink was called kale-aid: kale, apple, cucumber, celery, lemon and ginger.

i ate at true food kitchen twice during my two-week stay in arizona. not necessarily because i loved it so much, but this restaurant concept is a great bridge between omnivores and vegetarians. dr. andrew weil and sam fox have created a brand that ingratiates healthy eating into mainstream dining out. so when our carnivore friends wanted to meet up for happy hour, this spot was an easy compromise.

for what true food promises, go to chef sara's. if you like the promise of what true food could be, drive to cave creek and have the food the way it should be at chef sara's raw vegan cafe. no comparison - chef sara rules, while true food is boring and bland. i've given true food multiple times to impress, but it's consistently blaaah. healthy food doesn't need to be this tasteless, folks.

true food kitchen’s culinary concept is simple. serve seasonal, sustainable, pure fare with great flavor and stunning presentation. this trend-setting establishment plays host to an astounding variety of flavor-packed deliciousness through an array of items on their menu. several of the options are even gluten free and vegetarian. as a meat eater, my husband was delightfully surprised to find that his meal was so satisfying. as a connoisseur of a savory steak at times myself, i was certainly impressed with the delivery of tastes throughout our dining experience. though not gluten-free eaters, we appreciated what true food kitchen is doing in regards to their assistance providing gluten free and vegetarian options to the masses. here, chefs are schooled in the importance of gluten-free meal preparation and are careful to keep gluten-free ingredients in their separate area in the kitchen. my best friend from college has been gluten-free for a very long time, and i know she would enjoy th

very nice service. our server was brian, did an excellent job waiting on us, nice n professional. i ordered the albacore sliders with kale salad, side of water. it was a perfect serving size, felt full but not stuffed. the other two had the street tacos, they were hungry so that wasn't filling enough; qty 3. but we're delicious. very healthy! i love that they have their prep line spread out where u can see everything, as if it's a food cooking show. makes you hungry just watching them. atmosphere is clean, light, open and inviting. next time i plan on sitting by the huge fire pit they have outside, looks romantic and fun. i definitely recommend this place if you are looking for a healthy meal. oh and it's not cheap either. hope this helps

truely good for your body. as someone who eats out regularly, frequenting places like ruth's chris, cheesecake factory and bamboo sushi, i'm relieved to find a restaurant that leaves me satisfied and gives me peace of mind. your taste buds will be shocked to discover flavorful, healthy dishes can be prepared without fat and preprocessed padding. i have to agree it's pricey but have you ever seen the price tag on a coronary artery bypass graft? i haven't tasted every dish yet but so far every one has been savory and i'm looking forward to trying the whole menu.

never had a bad meal here. the kale salad (with salmon) is incredible. the chocolate is a childhood favorite re-invented. your mother would approve, even though the food is so plentiful that it is hard to clean your plate.

fabulous. they had a variety of foods that pleased both the vegetarian & vegan in our group. it is a little pricey but the venue is beautiful, the food presentation was nice and our service was excellent. the server was well-informed about the ingredients and nutritional value, answering all our questions. give it a try, it's worth it. very unique place, hopefully more restaurants like this will begin to appear around town. we need more healty choices!
