ordered all the expensive things lol and wasted $40. the seafood platter, friedricebowls and beef entrees all tasted exactly like purple garden's buffet lol. seriously, save your money in victoria, there isn't really quality or cheap "ethnic" food.

delivery was fast. we got our 5 dishes in 30 minutes, friedricedishes were very nice, seafood platter really good - we will definitely order from them again.

amazing as usual. this place just rocks! just ordered take out. spicy basil ribs, which were so yummy and plenty of them. the coconutriceis the best i've ever had! i have been to this restaurant a few times and i just love the food! the decor is nothing fancy, but i don't care. it's clean, the staff are friendly and the food is well worth the drive.

busy!. we gave this place a try on friday night and the food was different, but delicious! we had the shrimp rolls which looked great and tasted great too. it was really busy and they were short staffed so the service wasn't great. i am hopeful that this was due to being understaffed, because the food was delicious. next time we want to try the pineapplericedish (rice served in a pineapple)!

very good. i have been here a couple of times now and have tried about 8-10 dishes off the menu. all of them have been very good. the coconut seafood friedricewas really good. the peanut sauce with the satays was awesome.

excellent!. this food is amazing! the coconutriceis delicious and so are the curried dishes! the atmosphere is very casual, but the food is highly recommended.

great neighborhood restaurant. one of my favourite restaurants in victoria, we often order take out and eat at home. thericenoodles with prawns and spicy basil sauce dish is to die for! never been dissapointed with this place.

a nice surprise!. tropical island may not look like much from the outside, but don't let that deter you from checking it out! the inside was a nice surprise, it is all brand new and pretty nice.

the service was quick and very friendly and the food certainly exceeded my expectations. the lunch deal is great value - $7.95 gets you a soup, spring roll and choice of entree. i tried the chicken satay with friedriceand my friend got the chicken green curry with rice. both were delicious. there are a lot of things on the menu i can't wait to try, so i will definitely be back for more.
