such an incredible restaurant experience in kochi. i wanted to try authentic cuisine of kerala and i got just that. kingfish curry: raw mango and coconut milk, chilli and turmeric. slow cooked in clay pots so that it does not spoil quickly....truly amazing!!!!
chicken with roasted coconut gravy with cinnamon, black pepper, chilli, cardamom ginger garlic, shallots and onions, salt and masala and chili powder all mixed together then add the chicken. i came to india expected the most mouth watering dishes and i have not been disappointed yet. this place is a must try for any foodies that curry and spice!

this restaurant is only open for dinner and i have to say, it pretty much nails it when it comes to authentic keralite food.
we tried the mushroom soup, which i must say is the most unique mushroom soup i have ever tasted. it's based in coconut milk and well i liked it.
for starters we ordered the bdf and prawns semiya vada.
not exactly a fan of prawns so didn't have the vada, but the beef was particularly good with the right amount of juiciness and toughness in it and each bite packed with flavor.
and onto the main course... you have to be careful while ordering because the portion sizes are somewhat on the larger side. ordered the duck and mutton curries.
mutton was good, duck was average.
the chappatis were soft and the sole chef special paratha we tried was a revelation.
the highlight of the evening had to be the chef talking to us beforehand and preparing a special dish for us. it was prawns and goorkha peera- and i have to say, it tasted really good. and to think i don't even like prawns.
for dessert we skipped the options they had, as the helpful staff mentioned to us that they could source us desserts from their coffee shop.
had a tiramisu and an ice cream with brownie.
a must visit if you like kerala food... with a twist.

probably because they are serving solely the kerala cuisine, it felt that the masala they used on both the fish grill and the chicken fry we ordered were the same. tasted quite repetitive. the pizza pepperoni was depressing too. but i must say, the "take me home" drink was absolutely perfect. the sort of refreshment you are looking for while dining out. the staff was quite concerned over the fact that we felt the food wasn't quite appealing and they dealt with it very well.

i would give them 5 out of 5. the food served is really tasty. the chef have created some dishes like vazhapoo cutlet - which is a superb innovation. the amount of creative thought went behind the creation of that dish deserves a big appreciation. i had appams, idiyappams, beef dry fry, fish curry with mango and kuttanadan duck curry. all these dishes were super fantastic and authentic ethnic keralite dishes. the beef dry fry was soft and tasty. the person who served the food was not able to pronounce the names of the dishes properly. other than that, everything was fantastic. the service was excellent. the payasam was also fantastic - again kudos to the chef who created that dish. the management and staff of trilogy are doing a fantastic job. thank you guys!

and for those who are reading this - if you want 100% authentic keralite cuisine, don't miss this place!

innovative menu .. disappointing food ..

the menu offered a lot but food was disappointing coupled with steep price and inconsistent service .. you feel cheated ..

ordered a starter, soup and two main dish

starter was good .. soup was average (too much coconut milk) and spring hoppers biryani was disaster .. the saving grace was beef roast but the porota was hard and dry .. the chef personally came and apologised but it did not make the food great nor feel better ..

the service was inconsistent .. too much shouting often the kitchen staff was not ready with meal and other time the service staff did not serve the meal when it was ready ..

great opportunity if they can deliver what is in the menu ... if price is made reasonable i wouldn't mind trying once again ..

let me get straight to the point - the food is good but it lacks the oomph.

the beef fry was extremely tender and the spices used added extra flavor to it.

the chicken curry with puttu was quite interesting as this was my first time tasting puttu. i found it a little on the dry side. i don't know if its supposed to be that way. however, the chicken curry lacked balance of flavor - the enticingly sweet aroma of coconut was missing as there was an overload of the earthy spices. by earthy i mean, you can literally taste the brown-y earth-y consistency of the peppercorns, cumin, coriander and cinnamon.

there were these beautiful prawn cakes that were encased in some kind of noodle and deep fried. i found it absolutely amazing to taste those as it had the right amount of everything.

they did not serve any hard drinks but they were happy to indulge us with beer and wine.

the service is faultless and the ambience is immaculate with a dim lighting that is perfect for a romantic dinner !!

hence, i close this case by insisting a visit sometime soon.. ! :)
