arrived as a single on a saturday evening to a packed house but was able to be seated on their small outside patio area. ordered the veal francese and was amazed at the tenderness and freshness of the veal. i thought i would be served 3 small portions but instead was served 4 good sized portions of veal. the veal almost melted in your mouth and the accompanying dish of pasta was also fresh with a very good tasting sauce. the minestrone soup was homemade and also very good. service was most attentive with the owner, hostess, waiters, waitresses and even the busboys gave you almost 'fawning' attention. i cannot find a negative comment to include in this narrative. worth the visit

italian food for people who don't like italian food. i took my elderly father there for dinner. he had lasagna, and i ordered the stuffed shells. i have never had more flavorless italian food in my life. they must use the least expensive cheese available (if it is actually cheese). both the shells and the lasagna had virtually no flavor whatsoever.

just a note, they had a dish on the menu called shrimp di cosenza. my father is from cosenza, and, since it's several hours inland, shrimp would never be a signature dish. i asked whether any of the owners were from there, and the waiter told me that no one there is italian. that explained a lot.

food was amazing, service was great! it's a very small place in a strip mall, but don't let that fool you. the place was packed, and for good reason! i had one of the specials, gnocchi carbonara with chicken, and it might be the best italian meal i've ever had.

went there with a gift certificate for $25 off our total bill. they honored it and were very courteous about it, but the service was poor (the water guy was our most attentive server) despite having 13+ servers and bussers for a 200sqft dining room and i asked for the putanesca cavatelli and they brought me angel hair and clam sauce.
they were suprisingly packed, a.k.a. popular, so i was suprised by their inattentiveness...

good neighborhood spot. this place is located in a strip mall pretty much next to sam's of arlington heights. i would give it a pretty solid rating across the board. i highly recommend to go with the calamari toscana style for an appetizer. the place does get packed on friday and saturday night so i suggest that you go there early or make a reservation.
