tito's tacos mexican restaurant

been going to tito's for over 30 years. great when the tacos are piping hot. love their meat and cheese burritos are awesome. the length of the lines never stop me. it is all part of it b

not the best, not the worst. basic texmex hard shell tacos reminiscent of the fast food kind. nothing overly authentic. they kind of taste like the ones from jack in the box (which i might add are also cheaper).

it's the best. we have been going to tito's for over 25 years. my son moved to tennessee and his only wish is that we bring him burritos from titos when we go to visit him this week. i placed my order online , received a confirmation in minutes and picked them up this afternoon

he is going to be shocked..

i don't get it? i thought maybe i missed something so i went back and gave it another try and i'm sorry i'm not impressed. if you think this is good you would go nuts for real tacos. oh well to each their own

overrated

i was driving east on washington, going home from the beach. i don't know why i was on washington, not on venice. maybe to avoid traffic, or maybe it was fate. as i passed the 405 to avoid traffic, i saw a sign that read, tito's tacos. hearing much about this place, i had to see what all the fuss was about. sadly knowing it was cash only, i had to scramble for some dollars and change . i felt like i was back in high school looking for some extra food money. sad that i could not get a burrito, i could only afford one taco, with cheese of course. for 2 bucks and change, it was a full on meal! the shredded cheese on the taco is a must. the hard taco shell isn't greasy as i thought it would be. it was fresh, crispy, and crunchy. delicious. the shredded beef was tender and juicy, not dry at all. the best part is the cold salsa. what looks to be just some pureed tomatoes was perfect on the taco. it gave it that cool factor, and it tasted so fresh. the complimentary tortilla chips was great t

good food. i heard about this place and it was a great pleasure to be able to try it myself and absolutely loving it. and it was reasonable cheap too at least i think.

i'll pass...forever.. i hate this place. the taco shells made my jaw hurt, it's not authentic and the burrito was actually soggy because they ran out of meat toward the end of the night. this place was waaay too far from my house for it to suck that badly.

amazing tacos. i lived in carson for 2 years and drove to culver city at least 2x a week for these tacos (about a 20 minute drive depending on time of day). the lines are enormous with scant parking, but the wait isn't too bad. prices are decent for what you get. i read some other reviews saying the food is mediocre but i say see for yourself as to how amazing these tacos really are. simple and delicious. salsa is one of a kind. i now live in washington and miss these tacos dearly! constantly crave them!

always worth the wait.. meat tacos are my favorite and tend to be the only thing i order. the salsa is super yummy because it's not chock full of cilantro. chips are always fresh. due to the sheer volume of food they serve daily, your order will always be fresh.

totally overrated... go next door to johnnie's instead. tito's is overrated, plain and simple. finding a parking space is a major chore, then the lines are always super long. it's hardly worth the effort for "just ok" tacos that you can get at just about any of the bazillion other taco joints in the greater los angeles area. but if you happen to be in the area, take a stroll around the corner and get a pastrami sandwich at johnnie's instead.

are you crazy?. you know the story " the emperors new clothes"? well, that's what i think of when i see all the fools standing in line at tito's tacos. just because someone says this is the best tacos or mexican food in l.a. it seems many have bought into this joke and are just going along and not questioning what they are eating. i know la can do better then this. i was raised in so cal but now live in az and i heard about this great place to eat from family about tito's so i was really looking forward to eating there as was 6 other family members of mine, all of which love mexican food. i didn't mind the lines or what i thought where high prices for fast food as this just added to the excitement of trying this incredible food at this well known hot spot, we where about to have this great la experience. but as we all started to eat this crap i was dumfounded by what i was eating and all the hype about this place and the hysteria round me. the food was not at all special or unique. the tacos where so so and at $1.75 plus .60 for cheese i sure expected better. some kind of meat and lettuce was all there was to this taco unless you order the cheese for extra. the crisp shell was fine but the taste bland. the meat burrito was terrible. i know i have had better in la. all there was is a runny meat in a red sauce that had an odd taste to it, nothing else. boring! and i love a good burrito so another let down. the only thing about the guacamole that resembled guacamole was the color green, that's it. not the tastes and not the water down stuff they are passing off as guacamole. the beans where ok but again i have had better. serving the chips with your food was a plus but that's it. no refills on drinks, again what a joke! i will never eat here again and i just shake my head in wonderment to all the dopes standing in those long lines thinking that they are eating the best that la has to offer. wake up la, the emperors has no clothes and tito's tacos are nothing special! i know la can do better.
