had dinner last night with two colleagues. i had the steak and enchilada special from the board. we also tried the queso flameado and chili con queso. all food was fresh, and execution well done. the price was reasonable and the basic furnishings authentic. good food at a fair price. the tortillas were also obviously homemade.

we stayed in an airbnb in the king william historical district just a couple blocks from tito's mexican restaurant. we tried it for breakfast one morning and loved it. excellent food, excellent coffee and friendly and helpful staff. we noticed everyone else in the restaurant seemed to be a local resident - a good sign! we loved it so much we went back one day in the afternoon for coffee, sopapillas and then margaritas during happy hour. their dinner menu looks great but we didn't have time to return for dinner.

enjoyed a breakfast and dinner here with family and they said it was much better than the overpriced mexican food on the riverwalk. decent portion sizes and minimal wait times for food. the homemade churros were an unexpected delight. i left off one star because when my brother order the chorizo, the plate was swimming in the oil from the meat.

some arrogant host who wears glasses wouldn't let me change tables two tables over because he said it was a different section. the only reason i stayed to eat was because the kids were hungry. what happened was he laid the menus down on the table before i was able to ask to change tables. when i did, i swear he mumbled something under his breath and then said it was a different section. i asked again and he still said no. im trying hard not to use some choice words in this review. as you can see in my pictures, that's the rude host and how far away the table was from my table.

slow service and the food was just average in my opinion. my bill was $12 and some change and i handed over a 20 was asked if i wanted change back that was kind of surprising. seriously, i'm going to leave that large of a tip? i think not.

the food is unusually good for a restaurant in this price range. i've been eating there since it opened. however, for the third time now i've ordered cheese chili rellenos to go, and been given beef. it is very disappointing for those of us who do not eat meat. today, i made a point of asking if they had given me cheese twice and was confidently told "of course." wasted time, wasted money, wasted food.

southtown charm without all the high prices of "trendy" eateries.
the newly remodeled place is an improvement from when i first visited years ago. i make it a point to visit when i'm at first friday in order to get some consistently good tex mex food and cold mex beer.
the rice and beans are standard but good. the cilantro cream enchiladas are a great choice as the sauce is rich and creamy with a good flavoring of cilantro. the chicken used is flavorful and juicy.
my quesadillas with beef fajita were also really good. the tortillas are fluffy and have a nice handmade taste to them. only negative is the beef as it was a little tough, but the flavor was there.
i strongly believe that titos will outlast all others in the area, with exception to mad hatters of course.

when in san antonio, get off the beaten path and try this amazing restaurant. my husband and i were in san antonio for a few days and we saw this place while on a city tour bus. it had such a high rating on urbanspoon that we decided to give it s try. so glad we did!! i had the cilantro cream enchiladas and my husband had the hatch green chile hamburger. we both had the mango chamos margarita that our waiter recommended as their best seller. the margarita was better than the one that i had on the riverwalk that was supposed to be the best. the enchiladas were probably the best enchiladas i've ever had. give it a try. it's worth the walk from downtown.

nothing special. tired of seeing reviews debating whether it is authentic mexican.it's the same crappy rice, beans and chopped salad with an extra dose of salt. and the service is terrible. southtown hipster lousy food ,add liberty bar and a few others that people who have never had decent food less decent mexican. liberty bar really sucks in so many aspects.

great breakfast tacos. on our recent visit to s.a. we stopped in for breakfast tacos both mornings and we really enjoyed it. all the food was prepared fresh and tasted great. the breakfast tacos are a good size also. the folks there were very nice. we will be back on our next visit to san antonio.

great food. terrible service. the food and drinks are great. great, fun, cheap place to enjoy a drink. but the service is awful. you'd have more luck finding bigfoot in this place than a waiter/ waitress that actually wants to make your experience worthwhile. if you don't mind being treated terribly/ignored, go here
