tiger burger

was pleasantly surprised with how good and delicious all thefoodwas! the burgers are really tasty and go well with either the shoestring or k-fries. however, the bibimbap slaw was quite different and i'm not sure as to how i feel about it. the place is quite nice especially if you sit in the outside/sheltered garden area in the back. definitely worth trying once!

best burger branch in auckland 100% thumbs up.
nice bits of korean sauces and texture but it wasn't too much.
great service, great atmosphere, nothing much to say really l just cant wait to try all the burgers there.

we decided to pop in after several months since we have been back and the kimchi burger hit the spot again plus we had the vege burger and also the noodle dish which was recently introduced , washed down with some pimms as we missed the english drink ! great comfortfood, nice friendly staff and good selection of drinks but the tap beer was out last night hence the pimms , highly recommended if you are around the other side of grey lynn !

the layout here is freaking awesome and i absolutely love the alleyway seat decor. the service was really good too 👌
ordered the kfries, kimcheese burger, gang jeong and the soulful bites. they were all seriously incredible i recommend getting all of these off their menu.
the gang jeong was super spicy with the addition of "make it korean spicy". spicy but so goooood

it all started back in high school, where a group of us would watch the same korean drama over and over again. in one scene, the family makes kimchi. i had never seen anything like it and it was definitely a sight to watch! prior to watching, i wasn’t accustomed to korean cuisine and hadn’t even tried one single korean dish. but the kimchi process was fascinating, and since that day, i have been (secretly) obsessed with koreanfoodand of course, kimchi. cabbage never looked so good!

thefoodis good but can do with less salt. 2 of us ordered the chicken burger. we liked it but it was too salty. less salt would be better. the same goes for the bites.

first time visiting this spot, and happy to say it won’t be the last! love the overall ambiance of the place, good music, and thefoodwas delicious! great value and an affordable spot if you’re looking for a quick bite to eat. flavours were memorable, would go again. 5/5

food is awesome! the kimcheese burger is absolutely delicious. one of the best burgers i’ve ever had and i’m not even a burger person.

also had the fried mussel and beer combo. the fried mussel is also really yummy.

had a bit of drama with one of the male servers though, which kind of ruined the evening a bit. we ordered the chicken bites after checking on their qr code menu. the male server gave a nod and took our order. when thefoodwas served, it was another fried chicken dish and not the chicken bites we ordered. so i went to him and asked him about it and told him we ordered chicken bites and not this. he said chicken bites is a kid’s menu item and we can’t order it. problem is, the qr code menu doesn’t say it’s a kids menu item and when we placed the order with him, he didn’t tell us either and even took our order. he didn’t check in with us at any point before thefoodwas served to tell us that we can’t order the chicken bites. somehow he decided that it’s ok for him to change our order and give us something that we didn’t order.

when i told him that i want to have the chicken bites meal (that comes with half portion fries), he said we got to top up for the fries and insisted he can’t just give me the fries. not sure why i should be penalised for his mistake but he had a really bad attitude and has zero idea about service recovery. and he was going to charge us the full price for thefoodwe did not order instead of the price of what we ordered.

the saving grace was when we paid, the lady server apologised and acknowledged the mistake and for her colleague’s way of handling the situation and only charged for the price for what we ordered.

advice: go for thefoodbut try not to order with the male server.

cute place, well laid out space with clean walls and seating. ordered the kimcheese, kimchi sides and cheeky hoisin. burgers were made super quickly and staff was friendly and accommodating.
both burgers were super juicy and well stuffed, the bun extremely bouncy and soft, flavors were hitting all the right places, a blend of spicy and savory. pulled pork was extremely flavoursome and soft, the kimcheese had a decent beef patty and genius filling of kimchi. both burgers were really tasty, however compared to other burgers laces-their burgers were on the slightly smaller side, and the side was definitely a bit expensive for what it was. i was always expecting more in the presentations from all the gallery images i’ve seen and so was slightly disappointed when they came out just as typical burgs.
overall a very pleasant experience, however if it wasn’t for thefoodcompany i had, then i doubt u would’ve been as pleased with the burgers as i was. 3.5/5 decent but missing that extreme wow factor for me.

we really, really wanted to love tiger burger. it’s trendy and thefoodwas extremely tasty, but we couldn’t get past the forty minute wait time for our fries, and then the subsequent ten minute wait time for our burgers. this was from the time of ordering too- which happened to be ten minutes after we actually arrived at tiger burger as we (and the two other groups behind us) had to wait to be seated at one of the five different tables that were already empty. we wish our experience had been different, but fifty minutes for burgers was just a little bit too long.

i’ve been to tiger burger several times now, withfoodbeing excellent each time. the staff have been friendly on all visits.
the only issue i had on my visit yesterday was zomato gold. tiger burger was definitely still on zomato gold as i unlocked it after i got there, however when i asked the staff if i could use it they said they had actually stopped zomato gold the day before and also because 31st october was an “event” day they couldn’t let me use it. i didn’t push it further as i wanted to still eat there however i just felt that the deal should have been honoured as it was still on zomato gold at the time.

overall the place andfoodis great and i highly recommend, but just a little hiccup with zomato gold.

restaurant doesn’t offer zomato gold anymore and says there is a delay with removing it off zomato which is why they can’t offer it. personally i thought they would honour until the actual unlock screen removed. but good thing we checked they don’t offer prior to ordering.

food on the other hand was really good and really flavourful. the portion sizes were good and allfoodcame out super quickly. the place itself was roomy and had a really nice vibe. would definitely recommend the fried chicken bites and the pulled pork burger.

service was friendly and genuine. both servers were very polite and gave good recommendations.

we had a wonderful time, great service andfoodwas excellent! although we did ask for well done beef but was rare. still tasty burgers though! highly recommend!!

one of the best price/value burger place.
3 burger and k-fried with zomato gold will guarantee you to have a good experience. the staffs were very friendly. you would have to wait a bit for thefoodto come out but really worth it.

been here few weeks back, had been waiting to try this place for awhile. greatfoodbit expensive for the size but worth it for me. we had the kimcheese, cheeky hoisin & fries.  if you can sit at the courtyard, opt for that. excellent service,foodwere served quite fast (we did go at non- peak time).
