terrible value. almond gai ding is a wonderful dish, if done properly. on the other hand, if the person making the dish is trying to save money on ingredients & give the poorest value possible, the result won't be very good. i got hardly any chicken, and instead of the chicken the dish should have had, i got large chunks of onion (i like onion but not such large pieces), and extra amounts of other inexpensive water vegetables like celery. sometimes a dish is just not good, and sometimes it' seems to have been deliberately prepared so as to steal your money. maybe if you order this dish when eating at the restaurant they won't try to rip you off so brazenly like this. i suspect the same thing is liable to happen with any vegetable dish with protein: very little protein, and lots of the least expensive ingredients. if they stole my money at gunpoint, that would have been more honest.
