i remember this pub when it was under previous ownership and it was always a very friendly and cheap local. the decor left something to be desired but it was well worth a visit being both cheap and unpretentious.
since the refurbishment i have been in the pub twice and would say that whilst theplacelooks excellent, the atmosphere and soul seem to have left it. this pub could be anywhere and to me, it seems out ofplacein wood green. hopefully this is just a pub trying to find its identity. having said that, i suspect that the food is excellent as the menu looks both reasonable and appetizing and once sampled i will update my post accordingly.
