good every time!. being the food snob that i am, i wished that i could find something bad to say about the food, prices and service but i can't. oh and the consistency of all of the above. this is my thirdtimeat the vine and it was just as good as the firsttimei ate here. even friends that i've brought along have enjoyed it. can't go wrong with the vine!

great food. i have been to the vine three times. the firsttimewas about a year ago on a sunday after a church service. it was wonderful, the restaurant wasn't busy the pitas were fresh, the hummus is fresh, the food and service were fantastic.
second time; about two weeks ago. the food was great, service was okay. we sat around for a while with our cups empty. it was nice not having someone come to the table every three minutes though.
third time; this past monday, the manager was our server. i know he was busy but three other tables who came in before us got their food before us. our appetizers came out promptly and were delicious. we finally got our main course and ate. after eating we werent approached for about 15 minutes, after another server coming to our table to help us. i asked about a hookah. they said no because of the rain three hours earlier. the patio was dry. so after getting a no to the hookah we asked her for our check. it took literally 20 minutes to get our check, waited 15 minutes for someone to grab our checks and another 10 to get our cards back. we were there for an hour after eating, waiting. granted it was really busy, but the service was ludicrous.

overall still a great place to eat, but i might just call in my order nexttimeand eat at home.

one thing i didn't mention was how good a value the vine is. their sandwiches are all around the $5 mark, and the chicken kafta dish, while double that price, was enough food to satiate nearly any appetite. i cannot speak to the market or hookah aspects of the vine, but as far as the food, there's a reason why eachtimei've been the place has been full of customers. it's going to be hard for me not to just get the tabouli and fries sandwich every time....but maybe i'll just order it as an appetizer on my next visit.

great flavors!. i figured it was abouttimethat i wrote a review since i've eaten at the vine on more than one occasion. what i greatly enjoy is that the flavors in the things i've had blend together beautifully. everything i've had has been fresh and satisfying. so far, i've eaten a variety of desserts along with falafels, hummus, zatar, their salads, etc. when i tasted their falafel sandwich, my search ended. i haven't found anyone to match it or come close yet. their prices are great in comparison. i do wish they had more variety as far as the fresh fruit drinks that they offer.

loved the falafel hated everything else.. ok me and my husband had never been here. we felt like we visited another country. for some, that might be ok, however, this is america and this place is right in the middle of the hood. alot of women walking the streets in muslim attire. i was very uncomfortable. maybe we just dont get out much but me and my hubbie are just country white people that just wanted a nice greek meal. well this place is lebonese not greek. ok my bad. it was a filthy looking dive. the waitress was being bossed around by an ogre and was literally waiting tables, answering the food, getting the food, checking people in and out and the boss yelling at her in front of customers.
the place was nestled in btwn hookah lounges and honestly i didnt realize this area was a hooka street.. if you know what i mean. i swear the apts above must be a chain of cat houses. i literally saw two hookers pass my car. and this is lunchtimelol wow.. all i can say is wow. anyways. the tables were filthy when we got seating and still had wet rings from the prior glasses. i just over all was appauled that this was how we accidently spent our anniversary. oh and i hated their stuffed grape leaves. and that was one of the main things i went for. they were flat and tasteless. the baklava was over priced. they had no gyros.. ok so i really wanted greek food. i asked for some tabouli to take home and of all things she didnt pack it well and it went all over my back seat. /sighs. im sorry.. it was just the worst experience in a very longtimefor me.

healthiest and tastiest bang for the buck. i love the vine. i'm a vegetarian and the options are very good. and if you are a meateater, you're very much in luck. the vine burger is unique and excellent, has lamb in it. and since the vine is also a bakery, you won't pita bread more fresh than here, and pastries are to die for. they could charge twice as much and still be a great value, but the cost is more like mcdonald's. the wait staff is excellent, too, and now it'stimefor outside dining including live music with david certain and his band of merrymakers playing international music. can't beat the vine at any price.

firsttimevisit. just had a wonderfully delicious lunch at the vine cafe. food was great, firsttimeenjoying mediterranean cuisine, but just as important was that the staff was extremely friendly and made great lunch suggestions. we will be back again and again to try the different items on the menu. my wife and i ordered an appetizer and two lunch plates with salad, all for under $25. do yourself a favor and make the trip to vine.

the best falafel in stl!. read the title. it's only a glimmer of what you can find at this place. yes, a falafel sandwich will run you just under $4. and, currently, it's served deli-style so it's a great place for an a-la-carte lunch, but the other offerings are amazing.

at any giventimeyou can take home a good-sized portion of babaganoush, hummus, or (my favorite) tabbouleh along with some fresh pita. yay garlic!

there are also some specialty items on the menu, like a fried chicken and lebanese rice, stuffed peppers/zucchini/squash or another tasty treat: dolmas, which are stuffed grape leaves (vegetarian or meaty).

there's something for everyone here. and i can't wait until their cafe finally opens. according to the wonderful staff, the restaurant will have a falafel bar, a bakery (bread and sweets) and in the summer months, the vine will offer hookah on their patio.
