great food!. the fish tacos were the best i've ever had. i think it was the sauce that made them so yummy. good atmosphere and nice people.

love love the bloody mary drinks!!! they come with enough in them that it's has its own appetizers! it's so nice to see this old building fixed up with some style and character!

used to enjoy this place until they shafted us. we used to enjoy going here. in fact, we booked our rehearsal dinner here three months ago with a paid deposit.

fast forward to today (a little over a month until our wedding).

they call us and tell us that our dinner is canceled because the owner is going to be having a dinner there that night now.

oh, let me apologize. it was not actually "canceled". they offered to set some tables up outside for us instead! next to the street! in august!

how could you honestly do that to someone and feel good about yourself?

what a bunch of morons.

never liked this place, slow, poor organization. this place is not recommend. food has been old, lettuce in salads had to be sent back, and the waitress acted like it was our fault for complaining about it. other times it is like empty and you cant get any service. poor excuse for a restaurant, only in business because of the courthouse next door. hate the lawyer chatter at the next tables. hang out for people with problems. avoid at all costs if you are not in court.

calamari appetizer was very good; verdict burger even better. waitress was one of the best and the atmosphere is pub-y without trying too hard. it's a good place to relax with friends and family.

great happy hour! beers rotate frequently, so it's always a taste adventure! friendly staff & nice cozy atmosphere.

the verdict is great. the portion sizes are fine. the service is good and there is always a tasty beer on tap. we come here on a regular basis with our friends. it is definitely worth the trip.

yuppies have moved into oc..... oregon city has always been a blue collar town. the people here roll up their sleeves and do the work that others don't like to do. the verdict bar and grill is really mislocated (it would do better across the river in west linn) and targets the wine and cheese crowd.

more specifically - the food is terribly overpriced and the portions are small. have a family? don't even think of coming here, the people who work here will make you feel like you are a criminal for even walking through the door.

on top of all that - the location is downtown oc. this means pay you get to pay for parking and fight for the few spots that exist. oregon city would do well to purchase a lot for public parking and do away with the machines.

guilty.... ...of liking the verdict. nice decor, service is consistently decent, food is consistently good. prices are a bit high for me, but i get around that by enjoying the happy hour menu, which has great food for less than 5-bucks.

fabulous!!. a small group of friends joined my husband and i for new years eve dinner. it was fabulous. the food was great, the live entertainment was wonderful and just the right volume for the evening, and the price was so good. i would recommend the verdict to anyone, anytime.

great food, great atmosphere. this relatively new destination in oregon city is a pleasant change. the atmosphere is cozy (woodstove), friendly and a delight to the palate. worth the drive, even if you don't have an appointment at the court house across the street.

love this place!. my sister's and my mom just went for happy hour last night and found out that on wednesday's they have 1/2 price bottles of wine on anything under $50!! what a deal!! aside from their hh menu they also have great daily deals and specials! if you haven't been you should check it out!!

guilty!. guilty of lovin' it. great food with a tremendous happy hour. it's refreshing to have a first-class environment to enjoy good food and drink in oregon city. cheers to the verdict.
