good gastropub!.goodfood.goodappetizer menu.goodbeer menu. offers everything a gastropub should.

my wife and i walked through the door valentines day weekend and observed how extremely busy this place was and noticed they had an upstairs, so we grabbed a table there. we found out very quickly that the table was reserved. however, the server quickly reacted by speaking with the hostess and freeing the table for us, which he definitely didn't have to do. i'm not going to lie, we threw him a number of curveballs and ultimately had several guests join us. ultimately, he responded and did a great job of taking care of our tables. the service and food exceeded our expectations and i'm happy to say we would return. nice job. great place. we are looking forward to our next visit.

may try again. went for lunch 2 months ago with my dad. he ordered the duck salad and i chose the banh mi.

service was good, didn't order any beer, but like the selection and the view was great from the second floor bar.

for the price, i expect reallygoodfood.

not a rib bone left in the duck on my dad's plate. he didnt care, but i did. i've been a high end cook. kinda piss poor for a new restaurant.

the banh mi was ok, heavily seasoned, fatty and greasy, to the point i knew i was going to be tasting it the rest of the day. first time trying one so i can t compare.

gotta do better than that for the price.

pretty damngoodlunch. came here with the mrs. on a cold friday afternoon. fairly simple decor and vibe, nothing interesting per se. the lunch menu covered a lout of ground. nice take on some old classics, devils on horseback, chix and dumplings, burgers. the beer selection was okay, probably the only weak spot of this place. while a fair selection to choose from, it has the same 15-20 beers every pub carries. not a lot of consideration of food matching or global variety. still found stuff i liked.

we had the lamb burger, poutine, and the chix and dumplings. their take on the lamb was in a folded flatbread as the bun, unique, with your standard "greek" condiments and cheese. nicely cooked, tasty, andgoodportioned. the outine wasn't really poutine, but it was rather good. very nice depth in the oxtail gravy. this beast was really a meal on its own. the chicken and dumplings was the standout. hearty and full of flavor.

service was great, our guy was attentive and very knowledgeable. i really want to try their dinner menu. do try this new joint, i'll assume they have a live bar scene at night. great little addition to one of the best food areas in the city.

just keeps getting better!. we just visited for our second time, and the experience, food and service were spectacular. we sat upstairs this time as opposed to in the bar the first time. the scene was a little dark and cozy but energetic, and our server was spot-on. we got the fried green tomato appetizer; the tomatoes were great, and the relish and remoulade were flavorful without being too spicy. i got the chicken for dinner and my fella got the peculiar rabbit; we agreed that mine was better, but his was still pretty good. this is a welcome addition to the neighborhood - creative food, craft beer, goodservice and warm atmosphere... throw in a great view, and it's quickly becoming my new, favorite place!
