great steak!. the food here is delicious!... it tends to be a little bit over priced though for the portions that they serve.

this is one of my favorites. excellent environment, perfect service, very good food. for me it deserves a 5 and i do recommend it. it is an extraordinary restaurant.

top 5 best places i've eaten. the chef came out and talked to us three times during our visit and suggested dishes. for appetizers, we ordered the crab meat tower and the blue mussels and both were delicious. for dinner, we ordered the chilean sea bass, pistachio salmon, roasted duck and the ribeye. we all ordered the side of patio potatoes with a house salad, caesar salad or lobster bisque soup. the lobster bisque soup was so creamy and delicious i could hardly eat the delicious sea bass. everyone else was happy with their meals and so full that we didn't get any dessert. loved the atmosphere outside too with the live band singing some salsa, next time we'll be staying for drinks outside too!

this was off the hook good. sea bass was like butter. snapper incredible. this sc family will come back. impeccable service!!

kmorrow. at the patio again last evening for another great meal. service and food was again the best in mcallen. try the tuna or cowboy rib eye for one of the best meals you will have in town. also, the next time you are there, give the sea bass a try. it will melt in your mouth.

mcallen's best. by far and without a doubt the best restaurant in mcallen. i can't believe some of the reviews here. bad food? bad service? these must have been written by other restaurant owners who are getting their plow cleaned by the patio. yes, it is pricey but this isn't mcdonalds in kansas dorthy! if you want a $9.95 meal go to luby's. you will not find a better trained waiting staff in mcallen. my wife and i visit often and have never had anything but top notch meals.

febr. 25. had a great night last night, febr. 25, food was amazing, had a nice talk with the owner, great food great wine very good advice for wine, great servers and good music.

very nice, but.... food...very good; service ...good, but we were left alone too long between visits, atmosphere....very nice.
but...took my wife for a nice dinner and we were seated in a very high traffic area. wait staff kept coming down the thin aisle and bumping me on my arm, only once did one man say "sorry". the others just kept walking without a word. for the price, this should be avoided.

poor service and over priced food. the best way to enjoy the food is to have 4 or 5 cocktails before you eat. what a let down.

sometimes you get good service sometimes you dont. food is good but not worth spending money on bad service.

great dinning experience. i love to treat myself to this restautant every now and then. it is a very nice place. their ceviche is the best. i loved their rib eye steak with a glass of red wine.
although it is pricey, in my opinion, its worth every penny.

over priced. bad service. they use cocktail sauce out of a jar on their crab cakes and their balsamic dressing is too salty. duck was very good though.

like an idiot. i went back to guerra's again and ordered the filet medallions. i bet there was not 4 oz. of meat on my plate for $34.00. it was okay, but not for $34.00. i promise i will not go back there so this is my final review for the patio on guerra.

birthday outing with friends. some of my friends that go here really like it. possibly i was there on an "off" night. the service was not good and our waiter was rude. i was not that hungry so only had their $14 shrimp cocktail. the shrimp (all four of them) were equally overcooked so they were tough. i have not been back and probably won't go back. if i want a good expensive steak, i will go to lanskys and brats.
