the living room wine cafe & lounge - chandler

a very welcoming atmosphere. first timers during restaurant week spring 2014. ryan, was very accommodating recommending the patio on a comfortable evening. the entire restaurant is fully open between the bar, dining, and patio. pleasing to have conversations going with other tables. being our first visit, we went with the restaurant week menu and took advantage of the hh wine specials @ $5 each.
starter:
bruschetta apples, brie, fig jam, honey, and agave nectar
and
prosciutto, figs, mascarpone cheese, pepper jam.
both more bread than toppings.
entree:
select 2 of half a sandwich and soup, the soup was a roasted butternut squash that reminded of the thanksgiving holiday dinner, nice texture and not too salty. the other soup was the steak and turkey chili, really not much appeal, and extremely mild. sandwiches: caprese with wonderful flavors, and the pesto not over powering, the other sandwich was the roast beef, did not taste an bacon, but that was ok, the horseradish spread was light.
dessert: chocolate fondue, how can you not pass on chocolate.
will certainly return when the area.

the living room is a nice spot to hangout with comfortable outdoor seating. live music. complimentary wifi. good wine & bruschetta. they have excellent service. you can easily end up spending hours here!

outstanding. this place is incredible. great food, folks and atmosphere. i was in town for 4 nights and went there every night. i plan to do the same upon my return! great place!

love this place. good food, happy hour, and service. great people watching too :) if you like postino's but don't feel like driving to phoenix this is a good alternative.

quaint dining in the living room. i found out about this restaurant from a co-worker-who said i wouldn't be disappointed if i choice this local for a girl's luncheon. they weren't very busy at all at first - we got there early 12pm on a saturday, decor was warm and inviting and the staff was very attentive. i chose the prosciutto and brie pressed sandwich and of course i had to try the half price happy hour drink mojito... the sandwich was an amazing blend of salty; prosciutto, sweet; fig jam and tangy from the brie. the bread was a nice crusty sour dough. i will definetly return with more friends in the future. yummo stamp of approval!

terrible service. a large group of us made a dinner reservation a month prior, and was told upon being stuck in the corner with two crates for tables that they only take "requests." the owner came over only to blatantly refuse to take responsibility for the misrepresentation on his restaurant's part and rudely interrupt our attempt to resolve the issue with, "i own other restaurants."

i have never seen such a mistreatment--not even in the snobby town of scottsdale (no offense, people of scottsdale).

it was unfortunate, because the waitress whose section we were sitting while making plans to move our night was sweet.

it's a nice place but i was less than impressed. looks like they tried to copy postino's in arcadia. food was not up to par and they were blaring 70's music which didn't fit the ambiance at all.

upscale casual. ambience is really the key at the living room. low lighting, comfy chairs and couches nestled in small groups seem to invite you into conversations. from the menu we ordered a selection of appetizers: assorted cheese board, tomato basil bruchetta and chicken salad bruchetta, roasted red pepper humus, and more. the drink and signature cocktail menu was extensive as was the wine list.

bring a few friends and plan to spend ample time lounging and dining.

nice wine bar. i had lunch here and really enjoyed the food, wine, atmosphere, and service. the bruschettas are delicious, especially the prosciutto with figs, mascarpone cheese, & tomato jam. i had the ahi tuna salad, which had a great champagne vinaigrette, but the ahi was sliced very thin and there were way too many wasabi peas. the living room has a great selection of wines, as well as mixed drinks. i will definitely return, but will probably stick to the bruschettas and sandwiches.

great food, cool hip lounge atmosphere, and great selections of wines. exactly what chandler(ocotillo) area needs!
