kulcha land was in one of the top 5 restaurants in amritsar that i, according to many of my friends, just had to visit. just by the name, i expected it to be a nice, air-conditioned restaurant, sort of a brand name, with 100 different varities of kulchas. in reality, it was exactly the opposite, yet in some ways, for the better.
there is no ambiance whatsoever. we reached there around 9 in the morning, and they were still setting up the place. they laid a table for us outside, along with some chairs and that's it. i was a bit disappointed by all this inconvenience, but all that was very well taken care of by our reason for being there in the firstplacei.e kulchas!
they have just 4 items in their menu, literally just 4, even out of which one is lassi. so just 3 types of kulchas, but they are damn good!
ofcourse i tried all the three types, the simple and classic amritsari kulcha. for people who want to derive a little more kick and like spicy can go for masala kulcha. and the third type for the ones who like the lavish end of things, paneer kulcha. all three of them were absolutely delicious, but the classic amritsari won our hearts. served with the side of yummy chickpea sabji, and a mixture of lip-smacking sweet and sour imli chutney and sliced onions, you can even enjoy the garma-garam kulcha all by themselves.
the meal ended with a glass of thick lassi, makkhan maar ke!
the 4 stars that i am bestowing upon this delicious land of kulchas is solely for the same, cause there is nothing else to it. just plain, good old yummy and absolutely value for money kulchas!
happy burping!!!
