the keg steakhouse + bar - cambridge

my girlfriend and i are regulars here and it's always consistent. the most recent visit we were celebrating something and our server overheard this and brought us the billy miner pie free of charge. fantastic food and service. unlike another review, i don't go to thekegfor the outside view but for the nice atmosphere, quality food and friendly service

food and service nay....miniskirts yay. one of the better chains near the disgrace one would call the entrance to the city of cambridge (hespeler road).
nice atmosphere as long as you don't look outside to see the scenery which is basically a parking lot and box stores. if you are on the patio and tilt your head to the north, look around 3 light standards and look past an overpass you can even see a tree if you are so inclined.
boil in the bag sauces don't do it for me however even when served over a decent cut of meat. i also hate paying for extras as one has to do here if you want more than a piece of meat on a plate. sounds like a fair deal for a ny until you add the onions and mushrooms and perhaps another side.
my first line (one of the better chains) is a bit deceiving as it would seem like i was about to give a number of compliments.....what you need to know is that i despise chains and i rank their food very near the bottom of my 1-10 scale. as i did indeed say that thekegis one of the better chains i will indeed stand by my words and give them a 6/10. atmosphere (inside) 8/10 service 6/10 but i give a 9/10 to the miniskirts.

always consistant. i have been to many of thekeglocations over the years. it is a favorite of mine for special occations and just when i want a great steak. the "blue cheeze" topping is my favorite and they will add it to any steak for you at your request. the cambridgekeghas wonderful service, and is always consistant with the quality of their dishes. the green apple martini is one of my favorite treats from there.
