the pork meatballs were so flavoursome and juicy, as was the pork belly. the plate also had well seasoned vermicelli noodles and a lovely oil. colin’s chicken salad starter looked and tasted delicious. the curry and the pho came out shortly afterwards, and the table quickly became very full with a delicious feast of vietnamese cuisine. everything was absolutely delicious, especially that pho. it’s brought out with a small side plate of seasonings, such as fresh coriander and

enjoyed this little place which is tucked away down a side alley in the west end of glasgow. the walls are amusingly decorated with a multiplicity of cycling paraphernalia.

the ox cheek was fantastic as was the sticky chicken. the carrot salad was less successful. overall the flavours were slightly muted.

the waiting staff were very friendly and attentive. would recommend.

we were recommended to this restaurant by a local resident.

we were welcomed quickly, drinks was brought quickly and that was when the time stopped!! we ordered our meals and waited and waited and waited some more, the waiter kept coming back to our table and reassured us that our meals was being cooked. my sons food, me dau phu dau nanh (tofu hotpot), ran ngo ngot (fritters), jasmine rice, dau muoi (pickled vegetables) finally arrived and it was just about ok. everything was bland. he had to keep on adding chili sauce to add some flavor to it. i had ordered a hu tieu hai san pho (seafood pho) and spring rolls, but unfortunately it never arrived.

my son's meals were just ok but nothing to write home about.

it took me hour an a half to wait for my pho, so decided to cancel it and pay for the bill. the manager didn't even had the guts to come and speak to us and explain why our food took that long. and they weren't even that busy.
the service is appalling.
not a good meal and definitely such a bad experience. not coming back to this hell hole.

a must go place in glasgow if you are vietnamese, especially a hanoian when the decoration here makes you feel like home. the food was excellent, however you shouldn’t put sprout in phở bò for northern people. the cafe sữa đá was exceptional, shout out to anyone could make that coffee.

pho is amazing! totally worth to go there only for the flavourings experience! even though is 15£ it's totally worth every single penny! the only thing i didn't like is that all our clothes and hair smelled to food. so i wouldn't advice if you're going out to a club or pub after it!

i had lovely, authentic vietnamese meal at hanoi bike shop. the rice paper rolls were fresh and so delicious, and served with a side of herbs and a variety of dipping sauces. the tofu banh mi sandwich was also tasty, but the bread they used was more of a dense, french roll, rather than a baguette - which was disappointing.

i also loved the decor - the lanterns and small stools and plastic chairs made me feel like i was in vietnam again.

my concern was that hanoi bike shop is cool, we're talking super cool, we are talking ranulph-fiennes-chop-off-your-fingers-because-you've-got-frostbite cool. my problem is i am not cool. the rest of the flintstones are: betty has a vw camper van; wilma has dior sunglasses and barney has a jumper from abercrombie and fitch.

its two years since my first visit to the hanoi bike shop.   i failed to return because the first time around, it did not leave much of a lasting impression.   given the benefit of the doubt, i attributed it to teething issues with most new openings. glad to say things have vastly improved and i was impressed by some of the regular offerings.   bearing in mind, this wouldn’t be the place to be seeking out the holy grail of phos in scotland.  however, some of the items on the menu actually reminded me how international cuisines when done from a different cultural perspective can be a tantalising offering.   ca thu va kimchi ginger & mango dressed mackerel with kimchi, beansprout & herb salad strong taste of mackerel  was lifted by the nice acidity of a very “fusion” kimchi , beansprout and herb salad.   nice touch of a mango fish sauce dressing that lended a nice saltiness and sweetness to the dish. only qualm was that the kimchi was rather sour. me dau phu tofu with sesame seeds & red

realy enjoyed the food here - fresh and tasty. i follow a gluten- free diet and there are plenty of options to choose from. we skipped desert and just had a coffee at the end of our meal which was fantastic...it's made with condensed milk and is sweet as a result! i would recommend to anyone to give this place a try!

a bit of a tet offensive. to be fair i dont usually like this type of food but the wife does and the eldest child, but it was easter and so i thought why not .

firstly the staff were lovely and tried hard ,the decor was interesting but the smell when you entered was like a soiled dish rag ,

the food itself was disappointing ,the ingredients were fresh and of good quality ,just not altogether.

it was bland and under seasoned yet over flavored and ended up like a pot of broth over flavoured with pot pouri .

worst of all it wasnt cheap, no ten dolla special here, 4 of us got stung for £75 ,no alcohol, two courses

i suspect it wont last and only the die hards will go back ,you know people who think they are foodies or students trying to relive their gap year to bore their mates

i have eaten there when it was a burger place then stravagian 2 ,both were better.

i expected nothing and was still disappointed .

overall a little hanoiing
