every so often me and my mum like to treat ourselves to a girly day, we decided to have afternoon tea at the dome on george street in edinburgh, and it was so good! the dome is the most beautiful old building it is just lovely to be in. there are loads of beautiful lights and mirrors (naturally i had to take a mirror selfie in one, i couldn't help it). the afternoon tea was so nice, we had four sandwiches each, a scone and cakes to share, as well as that we each had tea and a glass of prosecco. it was great, we had agreatgirly chat and ate way too much. afternoon tea is just such a nice thing to do with friends and family, it is just a wee bit of a treat. i would definitely go back to the dome, the food was really nice, as were the surroundings, and the staff were lovely! it was a really lovely way to spend a saturday afternoon!
