the fat boy

i had a horrible experience today at the fat boy pizza in alwarpet! we placed an order for the broccoli parmesan bake which was extremely sweet (absolutely weird in my opinion and tasted terrible) and when questioned, the manager argued that white sauce is always sweet and they add sugar to it! we sent it back after barely tasting it and canceled the order . i was charged for the same and the said manager was extremely rude again when we asked about this issue and argued that it was made and they can’t cancel it.
i have been a regular to thisrestaurantfor years now but i don’t think i’ll recommend it to anyone or come back here after this inhospitable and disappointing experience .

exceptional dining experience that involved quality pizzas..

a few points of their service:
- the waiters happily reheated out pizza upon request..
- we visited therestaurantwith an infant and the waiters were very sweet in providing us with paneer for the baby..

worst pizza..it is mentioned as 4 cheese pizza but there no good amount of cheese at all. crust is burnt. worst pizza ever. i won't recommend thisrestaurantat all. i spoke to therestaurantand asked for half litre water bottle but he said we won't send water bottle .very worst experience. it took 1 hour to deliver. taste is very bad i didn't feel the 4 different cheese itself. every time i get a bad experience but zomato doesn't care at all.

we ordered food around 11:50 pm and we waited for almost 1.5 hours of time just to see therestauranthas cancelled the ordered! i wonder how therestauranthas accepted the ordered in the beginning and the delivery guy picked our order! it's pathetic! thisrestaurantjust sucks with delivery

delivery was fine no fault with delivery executive. therestaurantis responsible. so bad, the food was literally cold

the staff is pretty dysfunctional and have attention deficiency. they were unable to bring one of their over priced drinks even after 3 attempts while therestaurantwas pretty empty. go here for sub par pizza and below average service. the ambience is good which is the only saving grace.

fat boy located in alwarpet is one of the fewrestaurantwhich provide wood fire pizza. therestaurantabstain themselves from concentrating on the décor which puts more pressure on edibles to make it a success...

service was exemplary and open kitchen shows the chef enthusiasm in making entrée which in turn give us a delight..

jalapeno cheese poppers - gooey cheese frittered stick was succulent but heart felt unsettled looking at the 4 stringy stick for that atrocious price

cheesy fries - munchies which are exhibited in the menu cards around the town... the fries lacked the crispness due to the thickness of potato slices and the cheddar cheese is classic

cheesy garlic bread- i will be frequenting fat boy until these garlic bread exist , the best in town . the viscous cheese on top infused with the soft bread base on the bottom gives it a exemplary flavour . the garlic bread will be little burnt due the style of cooking ( wood fire cooking the sides and bottom part gets cooked first hence the slightly burnt sides)

panko crumb chicken - crumb fried chicken seasoned to perfection but chicken was little dry..

nerd boy - the pesto chicken and buffalo mozzarella filling was delicious and the bread quality can be enhanced.

pizza - i usually liked the charred flavour from dishes cooked from fire wood and i could get the hint of charred taste in their pizza which i savoured.

dips - there dips gives us a zest especially the blue cheese and sriracha mayo


p.s - the order in is always cold so please try to reach the restaurant.

excellent quality and portion size. just loved it. highly recommend thisrestaurantfor foodies. cheesy jalapeno nachos with salsa were awesome.

i had a good experience at fat boy when i visited sometime in 2019. i ordered pizza and some sides from therestauranttoday and my god it was terrible. packaging was pathetic , pizza was stuck all over the box and crushed to one corner. all of the items were so tasteless and not anywhere close to the original taste. everything was so spicy that a person who can chilli’s found it spicy. we had burns in our mouth , and tears rolling down in spice. if arestaurantcan’t handle delivery during a pandemic i suggest you don’t operate that ruin a customer experience.
