the dime

the dime is a local pub on robson st. downtown vancouver, which is the busiest street in downtown vancouver. it is one of the restaurants in the warehouse group. it called the factory a few years ago. it has been changed the name to the dime in 2~3 years. it serves verycheapand delicious food. my boyfriend and i had a quick lunch when we were in vancouver two weeks ago. we arrived the dime around 11:00 am when it just opened. we quickly got a table and began ordering the food. both of us ordered burger dish. it was verycheapat only $ 5.95. we only waited for few minutes, our burgers came out off the kitchen. the burger was very tasty. the meat platter was very fresh and well cooked. all the burgers came with a side dish. i had house green salad and my boyfriend ordered yam fries. the house green salad was my favourite, very fresh and delicious. in summary, we had a great experience eating at the dime. definitely, we should come back to this place again.

the service was absolutely horrible ! the worst i've ever had in any restaurant or bar , just  very bad ! pretty nasty experience all together . verycheapfood , you get treated the same too !

it'scheapfood so you can't really expect too much here. it's decent for what your paying for though. they no longer have their cheaper house wine so beware of that. your bill will probably be under $20 still though so can't complain.

i’ve walked by the dime a few times before and it has always intrigued me because of it’s everything for $4.95 menu. i mean who doesn’t likecheapeats? anyway, i ended up finally stumbling into the door of the place for lunch one fine afternoon and had quite the visit. i ordered the quinoa and green apple salad which had crisp apple, sweet corn, cucumber, toasted almonds, avocado, mint and cilantro.

follow up review. the dime has improved, their vegi burgers are pretty darn good. i haven't tried the philly cheese steak sandwich, but it is quite popular.

this place just sucks. compared to the warehouse and the factory forcheapeats, here has bad service, bad food, processed cheese on your burger? blah. yeah, and the fries were terrible. pretty gross. the kitchen smelled bad, the bathrooms were somewhat clean. the dime is just another bad clone of the warehouse. it's worth paying more somewhere else for better food.

bloody awful. went there with a friend, expecting good brews andcheapfood. to my dismay, the simple burger and perogies that we ordered took them over 40 minutes to make. when i asked the server what was going on, he was flat out rude to the point that we both walked out. terrible experience, never again.

cheap, friendly. the guy at the bar is super friendly and fast. food ischeapand ok. lots of hipsters drinking pabst blue ribbon for some reason.

scam central. awesome burgers & decent service. but no debit machine? cash only. plus the 3 dollar service charge to use the atm... turned acheapmeal into not so cheap, quit scamming people guys and for god's sake put beer prices on the menu.

worst bar in van. the dime has absolutely horrible service. yes, the food ischeapand apparently good but the lack of friendliness and general social skills by the bar staff quickly turns this place into a must on your list of places to never go again. make sure to tip before ordering anything and treat the staff really nice (as in nicer than your treat your grandma) or you will not receive anything that could be de defined as "service"
