when you’re mere hours away from needing a secret santa gift, i figure best to stick with what you know. and i definitely know:
• these chockies are crowd pleasers;
• the signature rockyroadis my fav;
• fab staff go out of their way to assist (& certainly
saved my butt today).

word to the herd: get in early cos the best stuff sells out.

i love the peanut brittle sold here, many delicious treats, delicious rockyroadhot chocolate. the staff are great unless you want to be served a beverage as they are more interested in socialising amongst each other than making drinks.

i come here for one thing and one thing only; the rockyroadhot choc. it's literally their housemade rockyroadsmooshed up in hot chocolate - the most ridiculously indulgent drink on the face of the planet. personally anything more than a small gives me a head-spin (shared a medium between 2 last night and we couldn't finish it!), but it's worth a detour or a special stop in if you're in the cbd.

located on adelaide street. this is one of their outlet stores that are scattered around brisbane.

my first taste of their delicious chocolates is by way of their rocky road. they make this daily and only available from their stores as they don't export it out the state. every time i'm in brisbane i try to get some of these. unfortunately this store had run out on this particular occasion due to valentine's day the day before.

the helpful shop assistant was on hand to suggest alternatives. i browsed a bit longer and decided a variety of chocolates including queensland macadamia slab, coconut rough, and brisbane honey. you pay by weight. all the chocolates were great. they were creamy and each one had their distinct flavours coming through. lucky i got the rockyroadfrom another one of their stores so didn't miss out on that.

highly recommend if you pass by one of their stores to go in and go crazy with buying their chocolates as you cannot really go wrong with them.

ok, it's not exactly super hidden but you don't generally associate 'best chocolate ever' with 'delicious coffee'. the dark chocolatier on adelaide st is one of the locations for the noosa chocolate factory and walking in to the tiny shop, you will be hit with the sweet scent of chocolate and faced with trays of chocolate covered goodness and bags of the best rockyroadever. be strong, look straight ahead and slightly up to see their coffee, mocha and hot chocolate menu.
