really fun spot to hang out, best fish n chips in philly. every floor has a different themed room. lovely fire place roars in the fall and winter. beer selection is kind of limited. best option is afternoon tea, sweets and savory mini sandwiches are incredible. they also offer boozy tea selections.

great brunch. we enjoyed a great brunch & tasty morning cocktails. my husband loved the black pudding & my poached eggs were perfect. the service was very good & the atmosphere was delightful. will defiantly go back, next time we're in town.

nice dinner at the dandelion. we visited the dandelion on friday night and had a lovely time. the staff was hospitable, friendly, and attentive. i had a humongous dandelion salad, delicious bread, and fish and chips. the wine selection is not extensive, but the choices by the glass were nice, and they were not stingy with the portions. a good value.

great atmosphere!

my visit to dandelion was great! i ordered the warm roast beef sandwich which was great! super tender and nicely toasted bread, the horseradish sauce was nice but not overpowering. i also ordered a side of mac and cheese with my meal which was also great, good quality cheese and had same ham as well. my dad has the bangers and mash which he said was great also. the tea cups were also super cute and the tea was authentic too! i would totally recommend the dandelion!

everything on the menu was excellent. the place is charming. the fish and chips, rabbit, risotto, bread, butter, desserts, cheeses, drinks -- all superb. will have to go back to taste more. our party of 6 was sat around a cozy table and we loved it -- perfect. stayed until after midnight. remember "mid-range" price is more expensive in philly. and parking garage right next to the restaurant might cost you $25 as well.

one of the greatest british pubs in the united states. ironically, it’s in philadelphia lol!

the ambience seems to fuse what you would think of as, a finer english establishment, with a hint of british punk bar. it’s very subtle.

i highly recommend the welsh rarebit and cheese plate for an appetizer. the rabbit pie and beef cheek vindaloo (yes i know...) are amazing.

excellent and unusual beer selection as well.

surprised with the entry. at first i assumed of entering a house.
enjoyed an amazing lunch at a warm and cozy place. the ambience is homely kind.
tried the grilled salmon and it was fantastic.
must visit to enjoy good meal with good conversation.
the limited menu for the lunch gives you a breathing space and quick decisions.

had friends in from europe and went here for the first time and we all absolutely loved it. first let me start by saying all the staff is incredible. for wednesday night it was pretty crowded we put our name in and waited at the bar for our table, we were seated on the first floor first for a little bit was chilly but fortunately that passed. we had enjoyed a cheese plate at the bar then at the table had the oysters which were incredible along with the root vegetable soup a perfect winter creation. for meals we enjoyed fish and chips, tandoori chicken, braised short rib and traditional bangers and mash all were delicious. ended our evening with perfect espressos and lattes along with two desserts and i will say the sticky toffee putting was good but was more like a spice cake then a pudding.

alma de cuba, barclay prime, butcher and singer, continental midtown & martini bar, the dandelion, the dandelion [2], el rey, el vez, jones, parc, pizzeria stella, route 6 [1], route 6 [2], & square burger. a friend was in town filming a spot for qvc and mentioned he was all about gastropubs. the gf was in the mood for a proper fish and chips. so, the dandelion was pretty much a done deal.

the rabbit pie was insanely delicious, but pretty small for $23. i think at this price point the dish should be larger. i had it at lunch but i ate here at dinner as well and the portion my friend got was exactly the same. the beer and wine choices were serviceable but the noise level on the ground floor was unbearable - on a wednesday night. our party was shouting to have normal conversation and the server seemed already hoarse at 7:30. great place to eat, with earplugs, not a great place to hang out and talk.

i've been here a couple times now and it's always a great meal. if you like pub food, like fish and chips or sheppards pie you came to the right place.

a friend was in town for an afternoon, and was desperate to eat at a starr restaurant, so i we went to the dandelion for drinks and apps.  i ordered the heirloom salad and a side of mash.  our server was friendly and had lots of suggestions.  aside from the enjoyable food and ambiance, i have to acknowledge the great lighting and extensive wine list!

consistently a favorite for me and my friends since it first opened.  approachable and unpretentious farm-to-table cuisine with a rustic twist served in a deliberately quirky atmosphere that somehow doesn't come off as trying too hard.   must-get dishes include the beetroot in a jar and the liver parfait with toasted brioche but really you almost can't go wrong.   on an insanely busy saturday night, our boisterous party of six received some of the best service we've ever experienced in a philadelphia restaurant, one flick of the eye and our waiter materialized tableside.   prices are quite moderate and noise level varies widely depending on where you sit.

a great location in a beautiful building. the drinks are delicious (i recommend the dark & stormy), the food is great if you're craving pub-like food, and it's one of the few places in philadelphia with sticky toffee pudding, which is a delicious way to end a meal.

a true english pub experience in the heart of philadelphia. the dandelion has tremendous ambiance, masterfully decorated (all furniture, wall coverings and fixtures are imported from england), creates very comforting feeling. excellent selection of beer and ciders (bar looked like it had a lot of scotch options). freshly made bread which can’t be put down. i had dandelion salad, which was light, crunchy and super-fresh. rabbit pie was outstanding, delicious flavors. my dinner companions were raving about lamb  shepherd’s  pie, fish and chips and steak and chips. excellent service – prompt and helpful.

highly recommended.
