the corner house restaurant

it serves good food with ambience. allows outdoor and indoor sitting with large glass windows to enjoy the mall road view from there only. we had burger, sandwiches, fries and pizza and in drinks we had ginger lemon honey tea and hot chocolate. the taste of food was great and portion size is also good. consistency of hot chocolate was medium, if you like thick one like me. the only thing i don’t like here was packaging which obviously can get improved, we asked them to pack the extra pizza which we got in wrapped aluminium foil inside a thin polythene.
though this is something which doesn’t harm the rest of it but i want them to look into it as well.
it is one of the best cafe on the mall road, if you really don’t want to experiment and have a great evening, then you should go there.

amazing taste and very good portion size for cheesy mushroom pasta.

hot chocolate was great too (though a bit much of sugar than i'd have liked), very reasonably priced.

extremely awesome place with great food lovely ambience and great service. do check out their red sauce pasta (its out of this world in taste)

the restaurant is located at the corner of mall road, easy to spot. at first the restaurant looked small, but later realised it has 2 floors and also terrace outdoor seating.
we went during peak lunch hours on 31st december, and in mall road all restaurants and cafes were in full capacity. the manager also did not keep a track of customers who waited in line and enquired for seating availability. this was poorly managed.
lucky us we found an empty table. we ordered veggie pizza, carbonara pasta, coke and hot chocolate. after 10 mins of waiting the manager came up and cleared the table. there were very few waiters or helpers around. after another 10 mins our food came in. but again, there was nobody to serve water or provide the coke. only big tables which had 4 or more customers got attention.
the food was tasty. the pizza toppings were great, beautifully baked, good size and portions too.
the carbonara pasta was also good. these two items were priced well.
the hot chocolate was yummy too, but it didn't level with the price mentioned on menu.
seating arrangement was cozy, restaurant was clean, well maintained, but service was poor. hoping they improve it.

dingy little restaurant on 3 levels, you can call the shrieking shack of manali :p., because the shrieks of laughter and togetherness echo from here.

1. potato croquettes : these are basically cheese balls with a crispy potato covering. nice snack to start with.

2. ice tea: turned out to be one of the better ice teas i’ve had for a while.

3. pesto pasta : we ordered the penne version. was an utter disappointment. the sauce was all milky runny and the freshness of the basil couldn’t be detected by blood hounds if served with this. improve on this corner house

4. grilled cheese sandwich : decent. umm… could’ve been better.

5. vegetarian pizza : this was well baked. crispy crust with the smoothest of sauces and cheese with amazing fresh vegetables as the toppings. divine !

6. vegetable manchurian (dry) : again, it wasn't up to the mark. the coating of the veg balls was nowhere near a chinese palate and seemed more andhra style to be honest. pungent after-taste.

7. chilli cheese fries : safe order and we were thrilled. little different from what ccf usually appears and tastes like, but very enthralling.

8. chocolate mousse : you guys probably don’t add chocolate in the right quantity in this. had more of a vanilla flavour rather than chocolate

9. caramel flan : this was an absolute gem. the custard was just perfect melt in mouth and jelly like in consistency, perfectly sweetened and the caramelised sugar was just a crispy delight

we had probably the largest table to ourselves that evening, and the best views of the mall square of manali from the balcony. the lovely candlelight ambience was a bonus.

the service could have been faster and the waiters probably more educated about the dishes and their components as it was quite a hassle to summon the manager for almost every order

all in all, good experience.

excellent place with spot on food taste and quality.
we had the veg spring rolls, veg momos, aglio olio spaghetti pasta, veg burgers, mushroom panini sandwich, and alfredo pasta. all our preferences were met to satisfaction.
the place has a great view of the mountains from the window seat on the first floor. lovely soft music and the vibrant crowd add to the appeal.

i used to visit the place almost every day either for lunch or drinkss & dinner. use to chat with sonam on my way up. he is very friendly. we spoke about our trips, the treks and offroading. he understood my situation and my food/ packing was always done in a certain way that it meets my need. this is my go to place every time i am in town and i just can not miss out on their delicious burgers, fish & chips, ever so amazing pizza and schnitzel. will i go back again for more. deffo yes!!! my only regret is that i could not stop by on my last day to bid farewell to everyone over there who have been super friendly and so amazing.

absolutely love the food. am a regular at this place and it never disappoints me. the quality is consistently excellent.
love the hot chocolate the best in old manali i have tasted so far. the chicken burger, soup, chicken pizza, bacon cheese fries were awesome.

ok... hands down this is the best pizza i have had. i took it as a take away as my ride back to delhi was there to pick me and i still had to pack. i ordered spicy chicken as a safe bet. when i reached hotel and opened the box, i knew i am in for a treat. it looked to apitizing. i gobbled half large pizza in mins. if i had an option, i would have taken some with me for on road snack. i can't forget that taste and base was ohh so good... thin.. perfect bite.. right amount of chewy... now have another reason to visit manali apart from snow.

very varied menu with multiple cuisines, but all dishes are made very well. standout are the chicken wings, ice tea and fried rice. some of the best wings i've eaten. all at a worth it price for the food.

went to take a break from all the hustle bustle of mall road, and have to say it is one of the best places in manali. a small little cafe that is the best when it comes to the vibe.

this was the best breakfast experience i ever had and their pizza is soo good because they make their own crust and they also cook their own breads.. i had the best pizza ever do give their pizza and pasta a try, garlic bread is also fabulous

good food. whatever we ordered, whether it's was the chicken sizzler or white sauce pasta for my kid or the simple lemon soda, it all tasted very good. located at heart of town with a small view of the mall road.

service is very slow. we had to cancel one dish as they didn't start cooking even 30 minutes after we placed our order. ideally we should have been unhappy. but holiday mood let us be lenient. but food is good.
