the brew room

this is a nice little place in the heart of the city. lovely ambience. good hotchocolate(apparently some brilliant coffee too.) and a nice filling hawaiian sandwich. i probably need to go back there and try out a few more stuff before i can give a full feedback on the food but the hotchocolatewas quite yummy! as for the place itself, it was perfect for me and my friend to catch up. however, it could get pretty noisy inside if it is packed as the tables are placed pretty close to each other. on a good day you could probably sit out and enjoy your coffee.

been to this place twice. apart from the décor there wasn't much to praise about this place. my first visit here was for breakfast. though there were hardly a couple of tables occupied the service was very slow. the side of bacon which i ordered was brought when i almost finished my food and after i repeatedly reminded them for it. thechocolatecake and souffle cheese omlette was delicious.
dropped in here again a week back during their 2nd year anniversary on a lazy sunday evening. the place was packed and the waiters took their own sweet time to attend to our table. my friend and i had to wait 15-20 minutes every time to request for something. the only saving grace was the delicious irish cold coffee. with the lovely ambience and variety of food here, this place could do better in their service and taste.

the food is amazing and the ambience is great! i have visited this place over a hundred times and still can't get enough. the mozerella cheese sticks, caesar chicken salad, swisschocolateshake, hoychocolateand off course my very favourite red velvet cupcake. please do visit this place.

a good place to spend the evening with a cuppa coffee and good food. the ambiance of this place is something that relaxes you. the staff are very courteous and the service was quick.
irish coffee - thinking of it makes to want to have it right now! it had a rich coffee taste and was creamy. cold trip - did not taste it but can tell that it was yummy from what my friend told me. chicken fritters - served with mayo, was a little bland, otherwise good enough. lamb lasagna - i expect my lasagna to have a lotta cheese, this one did not. plus i found it to be a little dry. brownie - was yum! and lastly the old fashionedchocolatecake - was decent.
i wish they had a more food options on their menu. would visit this place again for the ambiance and coffee.

we ordered cold drip , vaccum siphon , swisschocolatesmoothie ,eggs benedict ,diavola, cheese garlic bread. we discovered we are not much fan of artisanal coffees.anyway we liked swisschocolatesmoothie and egg benedict. diavola pizza and garlic bread were good too.

the brew room is a must visit breakfast and all day dining place of chennai. to enjoy eating and drinking(coffee and the smoothies i mean) along with chatting with your loved ones head to the brew room located in sevara hotel, mylapore.

their outdoor seating is greatly maintained and it gives more space for people who love to spend time in close to the nature inside city.

people who long for bacon in chennai, brew room treat you with some delicious bacon. bacon is available as add-on for french toast.

being a breakfast place one cannot disappoint in waffle and yes, brew room didn't disappoint as well. they achieved the texture and consistency of the waffles. whipped cream,chocolatespread and cinnamon syrup comes as accompaniments for the waffle which is a best choice i would say.

my first visit to this place was a date. i really like the place and we had a great time. outdoor seating is really good. hotchocolateis a must try. overall this place is so cool to chill and amazing if you're planning to go on a date with someone.

visited this cute little cafe after long time for the hot chocolate. my guy got an espresso . he was disappointed as it didn't have any flavor or taste. but my hotchocolatewas bomb.we also had a hummus and pita bread which was super good.

decent food with a great outdoor settings. must haves include chilli cheese toast and hotchocolate❤️

brew room - one of best cafes in chennai city. we went for high tea with no reservation. post covid relaxation - the crowd was moderate. we seated on outdoor and shifted indoor during rain drizzle.

what we ordered ?

french fries- usually stuff we order in cafes ( alternate for welcome drink 😂). the fries were really good !!

chicken tenders - i would describe this as “the show stopper”. the worst tender ever !! not worth for price ( 5 pcs for 325). the frozen chicken used was disaster and tasteless.

mochacinno - three layer coffee. the layers were made ofchocolateand milk brew. it tasted really nice and served with small biscuit.

nutella cheesecake bar - the quality of nutella and cheese was well appreciated. it was so yummy and went in like flow. only drawback was size of cake. i would suggest the management to improvise on the quantity.

brew room signature hotchocolate- served piping hot along with small flask of milk .they do have option to choose our milk (almond,soy and normal). thechocolatewas so heavy we find it hard to complete as it was served at last!! the signature drink lived upto our expectation.

the ambience is what brings people back here ❤️ such a lovely outdoor seating in middle of busy place. i would love to come back with my close ones to spend some quality hours. on my next visit - wanna try their pizza/pasta.

irish cream cold coffee

i found it as a big hit among what we had..icy cold cream coffee with a hint of caramel andchocolatewhich took me straight to heaven. it's the bitter variant of regular cold coffee with a thick cream.

ambience - stone steps right in the middle of the garden lead up to the huge white wooden door with transparent glass. tables and chairs kept outside are such that add a touch of class to the seating area in the garden. step inside and you're into a room with wooden chairs and tables of various sizes. all the tables have a centre cut out storage area where roasted coffee beans are kept. beyond a certain point in the room is the counter where the cakes are kept on display. huge mirrors which are hung inclined at an angle give out an entire picture of the cafe at any given point of time. 100

definitely an amazing place to visit for its ambience! the place is filled with aesthetic. its very calm and peaceful! best ever place to relax with a cup of coffee. they have both indoors and outdoors!

so we were searching for a place that serves good eggs benedict in chennai and came across this. the ambience was pleasant and we loved the lawn setup. we had shrimp popcorns, scrambled eggs and eggs benedict which were awesome but the shrimp popcorns was less in quantity. the eggs benedict was absolutely fantastic and one of the best you could find in chennai and was very close to the traditional english version of the same. however, the french toast was cold and tasted awful, chicken tenders was cut against the grain so it had a weird texture and the mozzarella cheese sticks were not that gooey. but these was more than made up for with the main course. the pizza was absolutely delicious, and the cilantro chicken was a complete meal. mexican wrap was good and the coffees and hotchocolatewas awesome. overall, decent place to hang out with your friends and we also did see a lot of ppl discussing their business and working with their laptops. the staff were friendly and we were never hurried by them. one feedback would be to improve the quantity of the starters and serve the dishes a bit hotter. otherwise, would've been a definite 5-star review

one of the favourite spots for a noon time visit is the brew room, especially for their hotchocolatewhich is on my all time must try list.

i have been here a few times. i love the nutella french toast, hotchocolateis good too. the mint tea sounded fancy however was equally disappointing, as it was hot water flavored with mint leaves.
otherwise service is good and place is clean and follows covid protocol.
