this place has become more of a weekend hangout spot. we invariably land up here almost every other saturday either for beverages or cakes. this is an account based on those multiple experiences.
location - the savera hotel on radhakrishna salai is a famous property. brew room is towards the left as you enter into savera.
ambience - stone steps right in the middle of the garden lead up to the huge white wooden door with transparent glass. tables and chairs kept outside are such that add a touch of class to the seating area in the garden. step inside and you're into a room with wooden chairs and tables of various sizes. all the tables have a centre cut out storage area where roasted coffee beans are kept. beyond a certain point in the room is the counter where the cakes are kept on display. huge mirrors which are hung inclined at an angle give out an entire picture of the cafe at any given point of time.
staff and service - friendly and gentle, always. be it any sort of complaint or a request, they are ready to take it up with utmost seriousness and care.
food and menu - beverages, cakes, pastas, sandwiches and salads is what you can treat yourself with once here.
i've tried out various cakes with my pick being eggless choco cake with toffee purely because of the thickness of the layer of chocolate.
thai cold coffee is a regular order because of the consistency of their condensed milk and no over dosage of sugar.
hot chocolate, old fashioned chocolate cake, cappuccino, irish cream cold coffee, almond apricots biscottis and one of their breads which had been served with butter are the other items on their menu i've tried and are worth a shot at.
slightly expensive inclusive of taxes but definitely one of the better cafe-cum-coffee shops which can be frequented more often that not.
