although we knew it would be a crowded place where tourists such as ourselves would flock, we had to make a stop here for lunch and pint. we took advantage of the outdoor space, which was cosy and inviting.

unfortunately, service was lacking — we waited nearly and hour for simple pub food. clearly, our server forgot to put in our order and tried to pass it off as beingbusywith a tour group. but no, when tables around us that she was serving got food before us (and they arrived later than when we put our order in) it’s obvious she forgot and gave us attitude when we inquired about how much longer we had to wait. as we had an appointment elsewhere, we literally had 8 min to eat and pay.

to top it off, the chips (potatoes) were undercooked. not the best pub experience in dublin...(plus it’s overpriced)

busy, busy, busy. the brazen head is a verybusyplace, with a sense of a familiarity of a very large family reunion. the "sit wherever you can" reminds me of christmas back home. live bands play often and you shouldn't miss it. all is so overwhelming and so many are having a great time you can do all but not smile. and so we went on a hunt dor seats, armed with a pint of guinness each, a cell phone to communicate, and a growing hunger as the lovely odours and smells perfumed the different rooms. finally having found a table to fit all 8 (a challenge indeed), a top rise one with a comfortable sofa and not so comfortable benches.
food came very quickly, which waa receiveid with a very honest, almost gluttonous thank you. both the irish stew and the the guinness and beef stew are incredibly taste and very filling. probably the best hangover prevention method i know of. not often i have trouble finishing my meal, and when you actually have to pause and wait a bit before i could lead another charge, that means bo effort will be spared to have none of that delicious food for leftovers. all unanimously agreed that our choices were without want. food is very traditional, no fancy presentation, no complicated or lenghty names, exactly what we were looking for.
in my imaginarium, the brazen head is the quintessential irish dinning place, as authentic and true to its heritage of a warm, crouded, and joyful place to be
