good selection of beer. manager was very kind and knowledgeable of the beer on tap. good local beer from ireland 🇮🇪. manager made a mistake on our bill and honoured a lower price. super sweet spot. won’t forget our great night here 🍺

came here for an after-concert drink recently - it's a galway bay brewery run pub, and one of the few decent venues near vicar st. we cosied ourselves upstairs with the selection of board games keeping us entertained. there is an extensive craft beer menu and some very good food deals which i would keen to try out before my next vicar st. visit. staff were helpful and friendly - loved the massive table on the mezzanine floor, perfect for groups.

the newest galway bay brewery bar opened in christchurch this week (same chain as the black sheep, brew dock, against the grain, alfie byrnes and dark horse)

came here to try founders' blushing monk as i had spotted they tweeted this before they opened but unfortunately they'd ran out the night before! still they had another raspberry beer on draft - lindeman's framboise. i've had it before and it's good.

was pretty quiet when we went but to be fair it was early enough on a very wet saturday afternoon..

food wise when we went they were serving pieman pies all day / night. i think that's changed and they're serving food.
this seems to be a craft beer heaven!! they're only doing craft beer here. they've 20 taps and i think i counted maybe 40 different bottles on the blackboard.

love the variety of beer available, definitely a place for people who are fond of a pint or two! the food is okay, nothing special, but not bad either. this place is all about the beer though as the name suggests.

the beer market is kind of stuck in two worlds. it has the name to be a hipster pub but it's just too clean and bright for me. you need dark corners and have to be nearly running into walls to be one of the "cool" pubs. 

in saying that, there's a great selection of beer, board games and there's plenty of space. only real drawback for me is the crick in your neck you'll  get when trying to pick your beer.
