if you're heading to miami and you want tapas done right, this is the place to check out! jose andres is the person responsible for bringing spanish tapas to the us, so you better believe that he'll do it well. thefoodhere is creative, inventive, and exciting. portions are small, but that's what tapas are. we had about 3-4 each and were fine. but, that being said, the cost does add up quite a bit, but it didn't cost too much more than any other high quality restaurant in miami.

the evening began with the most ignorant hostess ever and progressed to a more inept gm than i’ve ever seen. the $15 oysters had more shells than if i picked them off the beach. timing onfooddelivery was terrible. when i spoke with gm he was so indignant it made me sick and i asked for the check and left. the gm and hostess should never be allowed in the service business. they are clueless. thefoodwas subpar at best. don’t spend your money here as it’s wasted. better off going to chick-fil-a or bk. i never leave reviews like this but these people and their service deserve it. absolutely terrible!

the place is all about the ambience and the perfection with which the chefs try to serve you food. don’t expect much from the quantity. the serving size is small. thefoodis good but not as great as the hype.

great ambience, decor, crowd. but mediocrefoodthat hides its mediocrity behind a wannabe modern style. not recommended for a good dinner, perhaps for having some drinks with 3 or 2 tapas (go with the more traditionals; deconstructed ones are expensive bad stuff) but no more than that. ordered 9 different dishes, just 2 of them were good

it's expensive, many of the tapas are small doses, even for tapas, but you should expect this by the type of restaurant.
that said, it's worth it to go, all thefoodwas amazing, inventive dishes and versions of known dishes with great mix of flavours, the service was probably the best, everyone was amazingly nice and explained everything we needed, what the plates had, how best to try them, etc.
the sangria was good too.

party atmosphere!. very crowded bar and not very intimate, but the service was exceptional and thefooddelicious. there are so many offerings, we deferred to the waiter for a range of selections (about 3 per person) and it turned out splendidly. expensive, but worth it if you want deliciousfoodin a boisterous setting. great place for a party.

thefoodalso was outstanding, and most importantly, the vegetarian options were plentiful! the restaurant blends traditional spanish cuisine with flavors from around the world. each dish is tapa-sized and uniq

we had dinner at the bazaar a week ago and i must say between thefoodand the service we had a horrible experience. jose has nothing to brag about at this location i would doubt that it will be in business a year from now. the staff has no idea of the wines. the manager has not a clue of how to make customers feel comfortable, our entrée of ham sorono at $45 was at insult, 2 ounces for $45 , they claimed it was pata negra from the pigs in spain that eat chestnuts six months before they are slaughtered, it was so salty it was impossible to eat and the waiter and manager made faces at my wife and i for not willing to pay for the ham and sending it back. we actually got a clean fork and asked the manager to taste the ham he was afraid to taste it. we only tasted one bite and knew this was not the real thing. we spend every summer in madrid & barcelona and are very familiar with the special ham called pata negra. the ham they try to push off is fake!!!! at $45 a hit we thought it was disgusting. the only thing we cared for was the crokettes which can be made by almost any chef. the civice was average at best, it also had the foam over-the-top which shows how dated jose's creations are. i asked to see the chef and they said the chef was not available to come into the dining room, in my opinion and other people that have spoken to, that have tried this restaurant this is not going to make it in miami. don't waste your money or your time there's so many better places to eat. i was a big fan of josé until last week. i will try the bazaar in los angeles again next time i am out in los angeles. but miami beach is a lost cause!!!!!
a chef like jose cannot spread himself too thin, he must be on top of every dish that comes out of the dining room. obviously there is no one that has been trained well enough to represent a very special chef. i give thefood1 * the decor 3* service 1 *

four fantastic meals including three in one week, two with chef josã© andrã©s  in the house and one that was epic in every way.   the bazaar  opened last month in the brand new sls hotel  on the corner of 17th st. and collins ave. in south beach.  i'm not going to bother discussing the forty or so dishes i've tried thus far because it would take me forever to do and it would probably put you to sleep.  plus almost every dish was great to outstanding.  instead, i will simply tell you that it is as good asfoodgets and a complete culinary treat from start to finish in every way. service has been equally impressive (with the exception of the bus boy who removed a half filled gin and tonic from the table on two occasions during my first visit) thanks to general manager giancarlo pagani and his friendly team. kudos to chef de cuisine, david thomas, who was previously at tomas keller's ad hoc , for executing this extensive menu almost flawlessl
