*warning* if you are in a rush, this is not the place. all good is cooked to order and the avg is about 15min depending on how crowded it is at the time, and the food here is pretty good so there is always traffic. burgers are very nicely sized and flavorful. i recommend their angus burger. ample seating and extremely nice and helpful staff. definitely recommend if you are in the area and want a decent burger.

this is the spot if you are craving a burger.

this place is consistantly good, we tried babes across the street just to try something new and after waiting thirty minutes and then being told they ran out of what we ordered i wish we would of just come here first. oh and on top of all that this place was cheaper...

love that texas hamburger company.... i have been going to the texas hamburger company for years. i love there burger. they are simply good ol' fashion burgers. love the thick fries and the creamy milk shakes. when i moved to lubbock it was the one restaurant i wish i could have taken with us. the staff was always plight and fun. i don't remember poppy seed buns there i know they where at chester's, but that is another story.

very good burgers made with angus beef. (quite tasty). polite, friendly staff and the food is inexpensive... a very good value. kid/family friendly. similar to chester's however; they don't offer beer or wine. private party room upstairs for groups. owner is hands- on to ensure service and quality is excellent.

poppy, say it ain't so!. returned to thc to get one of their juicy hamburgers on a poppy seed bun. no more poppy seed buns! what . . . . ?! i was devastated! i couldn't imagine what had possessed management to make this change. "it wasn't broke, . . . ".

tried to keep an open mind as i took a big bite of my bacon cheese burger. not only did it not look the same, it didn't taste the same. in addition, the patty was over-cooked and thin. tons of lettuce and a just barely past green slab or two of tomato with the usual pickles . . . again, just not the same and not as satisfying as they used to be.

never have tried anything else on the menu 'cause i always came here for the burger. guess i will have to try to find another place now that serves these great poppy seed buns, but when chester's quit doing it, i believe thc was the last place i knew of that did.

the poppy is also a flower. been coming here since it opened and have never had a bad burger. that seems a little back handed so let me say that the burgers have always been good. regardless of how i order it, they always seem to get it right. one of very few places that still serve the burger on a poppy seed bun. i mean what's a hamburger without a little opium (the poppy seed is used to make opium for those that did not know). so don't go eat a texas hamburger right before you take that drug test for a new employer (just kidding!)

the pile of fries that are served along with the burger is substantial. a not so ravenous couple might even split an order. besides the beef version, the turkey burger is also tasty with plenty of seasoning to overcome the bland nature inherent in a ground fowl burger.

great burgers!. the food here is great. i always get the philly cheese steak and it is to die for. it has an amazing flavor. really fast service too. it's a little hard to hear and order over the phone with them because it's so loud but worth it!

whataburger is better. mediocre burgers and lame atmosphere. there is no beer menu! there is no beer at all! the large women who took my order had no personality and the ethnic looking fry cook was reminiscent of the guy from half baked who calls everyone b. my bun wasnt even well toasted. the title says it all. 2 outta 5 stars in my book.

not too shabby. texas hamburger company reminds me a lot of chester's hamburgers because the meat is thin and smashed on a flat top and the fries are made of fresh cut potatoes with skins but they are flaccid and limp - not crispy at all. the atmosphere has the feel of dining in a two story house. i usually prefer a thick burger more like fuddrucker's which is just up the street so i usually go there, but a thin burger is a nice change once in a while. if you prefer thin burgers, give this place a try.

likes it. i have been coming here for years and never had a bad experience. the burgers are consistently delicious. on my last visit i tried the philly and it was wonderful! the only criticism that i have is that there is not a kids menu.

great burgers, good prices -- work on those fries!. the texas hamburger company is by far the best hamburger purveyor in san antonio. by far. even though their patties are cooked on the flat top like most other burger establishments, the way they cook them is so unbelievably flavorful. and all their burgers, from the bacon cheeseburgers to their swiss mushroom burgers, are incomparable to other burger places'. their fries need working on (perhaps consulting with casino el camino in austin [who make the best fries ever] is in order?), but you can taste that they're made from fresh potatoes instead of from a frozen, premade batch.

so much is made of chris madrid's and i find their burgers wanting, lifeless, and bland. texas hamburger company knocks chris madrid's out of the water with their outstanding burgers and does so in a much more comfortable, aesthetically pleasing environment. you don't have to shoo away an army of flies while eating here, nor do you have to be stuck in the sweltering humidity in the middle of summer like you would at chris madrid's. if i could change one thing about the texas hamburger company, it'd be that they be open on sundays! the texas hamburger company would be absolutely perfect to go to after sunday worship services!

oh yeah, and work on getting those fries crispier!
