tark's grill & bar

pleasant evening on the patio. this is our third or fourth time eating at tarkd. the service and food are always spot on. last night we sat on their patio and enjoyed our beautiful maryland weather. my husband loves their crabcakes, so he almost always orders the crabcakes. having a smaller appetite, i started with their hummus and pita appetizer -- fresh and generous portion. then i had their margharita pizza. again a generous entry. this was a flatbread pizza and ingredients were very fresh. pizza is light and not greasy.

wonderful food!. i've meaning to write a review about this place for a while. delicious food and great service. nice atmosphere too.

busy, well appointed place for a business lunch or upscale social lunch. sandwiches are not large but salads seem to be pretty big. prices a bit high so value only moderate. i was charged $10 for a side order of mac and cheese, for example. good service.

tark's is great! they have wonderful bartenders and staff. the food is always delicious and the drinks are amazing!! i always feel comfortable when i'm in the bar at tark's. by the way the new menu is awesome.

wife and i had dinner at tarks tonight. both of us enjoyed our meals. she had the salmon on the cedar plank and i had the hanger streak. both entrees were very good and reasonably priced. the only issue was the half glass of wine at the bar 4 oz maybe. kevin our server was professional and very pleasant. we will be back soon.

but after witnessing one of the better crab cakes we've had in this city, we can whole heartedly agree that they do belong on this list. so now it's time for you to turn your comptuter off and go out and try their crab cakes!

consistently outstanding. this is my favorite restaurant in the greater baltimore area. the crab cakes, though pricey, are outstanding! i have eaten dinner at tarks over a dozen times and they have never let me down. great wait staff, great atmosphere and great food.

real good. nothing insane, but very good. got the wings and they were real good because they werent fried but rather grilled which gave them unique flavor. chicken parm was my main. coming from a hunger guy, the portion was beyond expectation. good cheese in it. nice atmosphere. dice location.

i was served a cold crab cake because they forgot to microwave it!!!!! also, they are not consistent in their steak temp..,..they are a steak restaurant !!!!!

tradeoffs. i like tarks every once in a while. beautiful restaurant well-trained staff, and great atmosphere (cougars on the prowl). the food is a notch above good. menu is a bit trite, and most things are about $4 too expensive for a frugal cynic that eats out frequently....but hey, it's all about trade offs.

update to my experience at tark's. after letting the restaurant know about the terrible service that my girlfriend's birthday party received via e-mail, two people from the restaurant immediately called me back the next day and apologized. i am impressed by how fast they called me and how sincere they were with getting me and my girlfriend back as a customer. we did not have any qualms with their food, which is excellent. i am glad to know that they care about their customers and the experience that they get at their restaurant.

disappointed.. i had a birthday party at tark's for my girlfriend and they screwed it up big time. the food was great. however, when it came time for cake, not only did they bring my custom made cake all chopped up, they stuck one candle in a piece, gave it to the birthday girl, and started serving everyone else without even letting us get a chance to sing her happy birthday. on top of that, all we got was a simple sorry from the waiter and a 20% service charge on our bill. to say that it was a disappointment was an understatement. ridiculous. if you have a birthday party, don't make it at this place.

fun and delicious. this is a nice place to go when you want something a little special, but you don't want to pay outrageous prices for it. the menu has a nice variety, and it even pleased the love vegetarian in our group. also, our service was really friendly.

looking for a great crab cake?. tark's grill has wonderful crab cakes. great atmosphere (especially for a date) and pleasant wait staff. coconut cake is to die for!
